NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by the Section-3, 4, 500 and 503 of the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976, the 'City Municipal Area of Hassan of Hassan District proposed to be declared as "Larger Urban Area" as mentioned in the Schedule-A along with boundaries mentioned in the Schedule-B is hereby proposed to be declared as the "Larger Urban Area of Hassan" and further "The Corporation of the City of Hassan" with effect from the date of publishing this Notification in the Official Gazette by His Excellency, the Governor of Karnataka for the purpose of administration having regard to:
i. The population of such area is not less than three lakhs;
ii. The density of population in such area is not less than three thousand inhabitants to one square kilometer of area;
iii. The revenue generated for local administration from such area from tax and non-tax sources in the year of the last preceding census is not less than rupees six crores per annum or a sum calculated at the rate of rupees two hundred per capita per annum, whichever is higher;
iv. The percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities is not less than fifty per cent of the total employment.
This notification is hereby published for the information of the Public. All the persons, who would like to file any objection/suggestion to this Notification are hereby required to submit the same with reasons in writing to the Director, Directorate of Municipal Administration, 9th Floor, V.V.Tower, Bengaluru within 30 days from publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette. Further, Notification will be taken up for final consideration after the mentioned period of 30 days.

SCHEDULE-B
The proposed Municipal Council boundary of Hassan Nagar starts at the Hassan Belur State Highway where the village boundaries of Hassan, Uddur, Handikare meet and then eastward from there to the border of Hassan Village in Survey No. 558, 465, 461, 459 including North East Point of Survey No.459. Hunasinakere reaches the edge of the border. From there, proceed northwards and proceed along the edge of Hunsinakere and reach the north point of survey no.67 of Tammapura village and continue northwards to survey no. It runs along the western edge of 69 and joins the north-west point of Survey No. 148 of Chikkondagula village, which is the point where the boundaries of Chikkondagula villages meet at Pusulahalli, Tadlapur. From there towards the north-east at the edge of Chikkondagula foothills, it reaches the south-west point of survey no. 32 which includes the boundaries of Mavinahalli Chikkondagula, Tejur village including survey no.148, 151, 152, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30. Then towards the north, it reaches the north-west point of Survey No. 11, which includes Survey No. 32, 35, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and Tejur Gyaralli, Mavinahalli, at the edge of Mavinahalli border. Then eastwards including Survey No. 12, 5, 13, 14 on the northern boundary of Mavinahalli village and the north-eastern point of Survey No. 14 which is the meeting R.N.I. No. KARBIL/2001/47147 POSTAL REGN. No. RNP/KA/BGS/2202/2017-19
Licensed to post without prepayment WPP No. 2976 place of the boundaries of Mavinahalli, Haralahalli, Gyaralli village reaches Halebidu Hassan State Highway. Then northwards towards the border of Haralhalli village at the edge of Survey No. 61 crossing the state highway road towards Haralhalli in the eastern direction. The boundary of the village includes survey no.61, 13, 15, 6, 16, 20 and reaches the northern point of survey no.16 of Chikkahonnenahalli village where the boundaries of Haralahalli, Chikkahonnenahalli, Yediyur meet. From there eastwards along the edge of Yediyur village boundaries including survey no.22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28 and reaches the 0.280 north-east point joining the boundaries of Yediyur, Doddakondagula, Chittanahalli. From there it continues southwards along the boundary of Yediyuru village and reaches the north-eastern point of survey no.30 where the boundaries of Yediyuru Chittanahalli, Doddahonnenahalli villages meet including survey no.28, 29, 30. Then the South-East point reaches the north-east point of Survey No.10 which includes Chittanahalli, Doddahonnehalli, Doddapur, including Survey No. 43, 45, 46, 4, 6, and 10 under the border of Doddahonnehalli village.
