NOTIFICATION-I

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Karnataka Special Investment Region Act, 2022 (Karnataka Act 5 of 2023), the Government of Karnataka hereby declare that the area consisting of Bommasandra 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Phase Industrial Areas and Bommasandra-Jigani Link Road Industrial Area, Anekal Taluk, Bengaluru Urban District with an extent of 1830.07 acres occupied by industries as shown in the map enclosed herewith & consisting of areas specified in Schedule A to be called as "the Bommasandra-Jigani Special Investment Region".

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) & (3) of section 8 of the Karnataka Special Investment Region Act, 2022 (Karnataka Act 5 of 2023), the Government of Karnataka hereby designate Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) as the Regional Development Authority for "the Bommasandra-Jigani Special Investment Region" and is empowered to exercise all the powers and perform all the functions as specified under Section15 of the said Act.

Whereas, the Government of Karnataka has declared Bommasandra 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Phase Industrial Areas and Bommasandra-Jigani Link Road Industrial Area, Anekal Taluk, Bengaluru Urban District as "the Bommasandra-Jigani Special Investment Region" published vide Notification-I, No. CI 28 SPQ 2025, dated 28.02.2025 as required under sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Karnataka Special Investment Region Act, 2022 (Karnataka Act 5 of 2023).

Whereas, the Government of Karnataka has designated Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) as the Regional Development Authority for Bommasandra-Jigani Special Investment Region published vide Notification-II, No. CI 28 R.N.I. No. KARBIL/2001/47147 POSTAL REGN. No. RNP/KA/BGS/2202/2017-19Licensed to post without prepayment WPP No. 297 6 SPQ 2025, dated 28.02.2025 as required under sub-section (1) & (3) of section 8 of the Karnataka Special Investment Region Act, 2022 (Karnataka Act 5 of 2023).

Now, therefore in exercise of the powers conferred under Sub Section (1) of Section 29 of the Karnataka Special Investment Region Act, 2022 (Karnataka Act 5 of 2023), "the Bommasandra-Jigani Special Investment Region" shall deemed to be an Industrial Township and the Government of Karnataka hereby declare that the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (Regional Development Authority) to be the Industrial Township Authority.

Also, the Government of Karnataka hereby accord permission to exercise powers and discharge functions of Industrial Township Authority by the Regional Development Authority under sub-section (2) & (3) of section 29 of said Act.
