NOTIFICATION
Whereas, The Government of Karnataka has decided that the name of the District "Ramanagara" shall be renamed as "Bengaluru South" vide Cabinet Decision No.371/2025, dated: 22.05.2025.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 4(4A) of Karnataka Land Revenue Act 1964, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Government of Karnataka hereby alters the name of revenue district "Ramanagara" and renames as "Bengaluru South" of Karnataka State, and further declares "Ramanagara City" as District Headquarter.
The Devanagari, Roman script and Regional Language (Kannada) script of the new name of the district shall be as under: -

Any reference, in any law, instrument or other document, to the revenue district specified above (as it existed immediately before coming into force of this Notification) shall be deemed to be a reference to the revenue areas/district as renamed above unless expressly provided otherwise.
