ಮಾಲೂರು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಯೋಜನಾ ಪ್ರದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ನಗರ ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಯೋಜನಾ ಕಾಯ್ದೆ, 1961 ರ ಕಲಂ 4(ಎ)(1) ರಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರದತ್ತವಾದ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಚಲಾಯಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿಯಾಗಿ 279 ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿ ಹಾಲಿ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಯೋಜನಾ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ.
