The draft of the following Regulations further to amend the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board First Regulations, 1966, which the Government of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 26 read with sections 33 and 34 of the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board Act, 1966 (Karnataka Act No. 16 of 1966) is hereby published as required under section 34 of said Act for information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken up for consideration after Seven (07) days from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.
Any objection or suggestion which may be received by the State Government from any person in respect of the said draft before the period specified above will be considered by the State Government. The objections or suggestions may be addressed to the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Department of School Education and Literacy, R.No. 663, 6th Floor, 2nd Gate, Multi Storied Building, Dr. B.R. DRAFT RULES
1. Title and Commencement.-These regulations may be called the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board First, (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2026 and will be applicable with immediate effect.
2. Amendment of Annexure III.- In the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board First Regulations, 1966, in Annexure III,-
(i) for item 16 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely: -
"16. The SSLC examination shall be conducted for six subjects with a total of 625 marks. In this, the marks obtained in the third language/National Scheme Qualification Frame Work (NSQF) subjects shall be declared in the form of grades.
These subjects shall be entered as additional subjects in the marks card and are not to be considered for passing with effect from 2025-26 SSLC exam.
