NOTIFICATION-I

Whereas the draft of the following rules further to amend the Karnataka Excise (Brewery) Rules, 1967, was published as required by sub-section (1) of Section 71 of the Karnataka Excise Act, 1965 (Karnataka Act 21 of 1966) in Notification-I No: FD 13 PES 2026, dated: 29-04-2026 in Part-IVA of the Karnataka Gazette (Extraordinary) No.342 dated: 29-04-2026 inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected within Seven days from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.

And, whereas the said Gazette was made available to the public on 29th April, 2026.

And, whereas no objections and suggestions were received in respect of the said draft by the State Government.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 71 of the Karnataka Excise Act, 1965 (Karnataka Act 21 of 1966), the Government of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules, namely:-

RULES

1. Title and commencement:- (1) These Rules may be called the Karnataka Excise (Brewery) (Amendment) Rules, 2026.

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the official Gazette.

2. Amendment of Rule 7-B:- In the Karnataka Excise (Brewery) Rules, 1967, for Rule 7-B, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"7-B. Attendance of Officers- Brewery licensee shall be permitted to bottle and dispatch their products 24-hours a day. The Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall make necessary and adequate Excise staff arrangements".

1. ಶೀಷಿೆ ಮತು(cid:195) (cid:164)ಾ(cid:206)ರಂಭ :- (1) ಈ (cid:298)ಯಮಗಳನು(cid:199) ಕ£ಾಟಕ ಅಬಾĸ ((cid:304)(cid:206)ೕವ(cid:312)) ((cid:294)ದು(cid:197)ಪ(cid:291)) Īಯಮಗಳ, 2026 ಎಂದು ಕ(cid:170)ೆಯತಕ(cid:180)ದು(cid:197).

(2) ಈ Īಯಮಗಳ, ಕ£ಾಟಕ (cid:170)ಾಜ(cid:205) ಪತÎದಲಿÐ ಅವಗಳನುÇ ಅಂ(cid:294)ಮ(cid:174)ಾ(cid:278) ಪÎಕġಸಿದ (cid:296)(cid:163)ಾಂಕ(cid:296)ಂದ ಾĸೆ ಬರತಕ(cid:180)ದು(cid:197).

1. ಶೀಷಿೆ ಮತುÃ ¤ಾÎರಂಭ :- (1) ಈ ĪಯಮಗಳನುÇ ಕ£ಾಟಕ ಅಬಾĸ (¡ಾÎŀĵಂದ įೕġ¥ೈŏ ®ೈŖ ತ©ಾĸೆ) ((cid:294)ದು(cid:197)ಪ(cid:291)) Īಯಮಗಳ, 2026 ಎಂದು ಕ(cid:170)ೆಯತಕ(cid:180)ದು(cid:197).

(2) ಈ Īಯಮಗಳ, ಕ£ಾಟಕ (cid:170)ಾಜ(cid:205) ಪತÎದಲಿÐ ಅವಗಳನುÇ ಅಂ(cid:294)ಮ(cid:174)ಾ(cid:278) ಪÎಕġಸಿದ Ĩ£ಾಂಕĨಂದ ಾĸೆ ಬರತಕ(cid:180)ದು(cid:197).

Whereas the draft of the following rules further to amend the Karnataka Excise (Manufacture of Wine) Rules, 2008, was published as required by sub-section (1) of Section 71 of the Karnataka Excise Act, 1965 (Karnataka Act 21 of 1966) in Notification-IV No: FD 13 PES 2026, dated: 29-04-2026 in Part-IVA of the Karnataka Gazette (Extraordinary) No.342 dated: 29-04-2026 inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected within Seven days from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.

And, whereas the said Gazette was made available to the public on 29th April, 2026.

And, whereas no objections and suggestions were received in respect of the said draft by the State Government.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 71 of the Karnataka Excise Act, 1965 (Karnataka Act 21 of 1966), the Government of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules, namely:-

RULES

1. Title and commencement:- (1) These Rules may be called the Karnataka Excise (Manufacture of Wine) (Amendment) Rules, 2026.

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the official Gazette.

2. Insertion of new Rule 9-A:- In the Karnataka Excise (Manufacture of Wine) Rules, 2008, after Rule 9, the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"9-A. Attendance of Officers- Winery licensee shall be permitted to bottle and dispatch their products 24-hours a day. The Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall make necessary and adequate Excise staff arrangements".
