NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 111 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 , the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal ( GSTAT) , for regulating the procedure and functioning of the GSTAT has made the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (Procedure) Rules , 2025. In the said Rules , clause 2( d) defines authorized representative as under:
" (d) " authorised representative " in relation to any proceedings before the Appellate Tribunal means , -
(i ) a person duly appointed by the Central Government or by the concerned State Governments or by an officer duly authorised in this behalf as authorised representative to appear , plead and act for the Commissioner in such proceedings ;
( ii ) a person authorised in writing or through a vakalatnama , duly stamped , by a party to present his case before the Appellate Tribunal as provided under section 116 of the Act , to appear , plead or act on his behalf in such proceedings ; "
Hence , as required under the above provisions , the Government of Karnataka, hereby appoints the following officers , including those officers holding the charge of that post , to be the authorised representative to appear on behalf of the Commissioner or any officer of the Commercial Tax Department in the proceedings before the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal :
