ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಯೋಜನಾ ಪ್ರದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ನಗರ ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಯೋಜನಾ ಕಾಯ್ದೆ, 1961 ರ ಕಲಂ 4(ಎ)1 ರಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರದತ್ತವಾದ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಚಲಾಯಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಹಾಲಿ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಯೋಜನಾ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಂತೆ 08 ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿ, ಹಾಲಿ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಯೋಜನಾ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ.
