NOTIFICATION The High Court of Karnataka has passed an order on 31.07.2026 in CRL.A-764/2026 staying the Judgment of conviction dtd.15.04.2026 by the LXXXI Addl. City Civil & Sessions Judge, Bengaluru City (CCH-82), in Spl CC.No.565/2021 as against the appellant/accused No.15 i.e., Sri Vinay Kulkarni, Member of Karnataka Legislative Assembly representing the Dharwad Constituency.
In view of order dated:31.07.2026 of the High Court of Karnataka, the disqualification of Sri Vinay Kulkarni vide Notification No. KLAS/LEG/46/N.CCH/2026, dated:02.05.2026 in terms of the provisions of Article 191(1)(e) of the Constitution of India read with Section 8 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, has ceased to operate subject to further judicial pronouncements.
