2. In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-Section (3) of section 4 of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission Act, 1956 (61 of 1956), the Central Government hereby appoints Shri Devendrakumar R. Desai, Member Khadi and Village Industries Commission, as Chairman of the said Commission.
3. In accordance with the provisions of sub-Section (1) of section 13 of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission Act, 1956 (61 of 1956), the members of the Commission (except the Ex-officio members) shall hold office at the pleasure of the Central Government which shall not exceed a continuous period of five years commencing from the date of publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette.
