(1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Agricultural Marketing Department 1. In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-Section (8) of Section 24 of the Code of Procedure, 1973 [ Central Act 2/1974] { as amended in Code of Criminal Procedure, 1978} and Rule 30 of the Karnataka Law Officers [Appointment and Conditions of Service] Rules, 1977, the Government of Karnataka hereby appoint Sri Thimmarayappa, Retired Public Prosecutor and Sri H.V. Ramesh, Advocate, Bangalore as Special Counsel to attend and defend cases on behalf of the Police and Sri. G.K.Bekal, Advocate & Retired Dy.Commissioner of Police, Bangalore as Special Counsel to attend and defend cases on behalf of the State before the Justice Sri. R.G.Vaidyanatha Commission of Inquiry.
2. The earlier Notification No.HD 12 PCE 2012 dated, 20-06-2012 is hereby cancelled.
3. Separate orders will be issued regarding payment of remuneration to the Special Counsel.
