In exercise of the powers conferred under clause (3) and (7) of rule 11 of the Rules and regulations of the Association of the Karnataka Residential Educational Institutions Society, the Governing council of the Karnataka Residential Educational Institutions Society with the approval of the Government of Karnataka communicated in hereby, makes the following regulations, namely:-
REGULATIONS
1. Title and commencement.- (1) These regulations may be called the Karnataka Residential Educational Institutions Society (Cadre and Recruitment) (Amendment) Regulations, 2013.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of registration of these regulations under sub-section (2) of section 10 of the Karnataka Societies Registrations Act, 1960(Karnataka Act 17 of 1960).
2. Amendment of the Schedule-I.- In Schedule-I of the Karnataka Residential Educational Institutions Society (Cadre & Recruitment) Regulations 2011,-
(1) In the entries relating to the category of posts of principals for Morarji Desai/Kitturu Rani Chennamma Residential Schools at serial number 22,
i) In coloumn 2,- For the words" Principals For Morarji Desai and Kitturu Rani Channamma Residential Schools Rs.11400 - 21600" the words "Principals For Morarji Desai / Kitturu Rani Chennamma / Ekalavyaj Atal Bihari Vajapeyi Residential Schools" shall be substituted.
ii) In Column 5-Item No-1 :- under the heading minimum qualification. For the words "Must be a holder of Master's degree in any one of the following subjects at Arts, Science and language subjects from a recognized University." The words "Must be a holder of minimum second class Post Graduate Degree in any one of the following subjects:
Kannada, English, Hindi, Urdu, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electronics, Zoology, Botany, History, Economics, Political Science, Sociology and Geography." The words Applied Mathematics, Botony, Zoology, Life Science, Bioscience, Applied Botany, Applied Zoology, Applied Geology Geo Information, Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or Applied Chemistry, Ancient History, Archeology, Ancient Indian History and Epigraphy" at Arts, Science and language subjects from a recognized University." shall be substituted.
iii) In Column 5,- after serial number (3) i.e. age limit - the words "Provided that as a one time measure in respect of candidates, who are working as Principals in Morarji Desai Residential Schools on contract basis, appointed by the Karnataka Residential Education institutions Society in the first recruitment after coming into force of these regulations, the maximum age limit shall be relaxed by one year for each completed years of service." shall be deleted.
(2) The entries relating to category of posts of English Teacher at serial number 28-
(i) In column 5 under the heading Minimum Qualification For English Teacher,-
For the Note: after the words "While preparing the merit list only the marks of the Bachelor degree or equivalent and B.Ed degree shall not be considered. But marks obtained in Post Graduation shall not be considered for merit list" the words "In case of candidates who have passed Post Graduate Diploma Certificate in English from Regional Institutions of English, South India the marks obtained in such course shall be considered for preparing merit list" shall be added.
(ii) The entries relating to category of posts of Physical Education Teacher at serial number 31,-

(i) In Column 4,- under the heading of Method of Direct Recruitment for post of Principals the words,-
"Weightage for contract Principals:
Not withstanding anything contained in cadre and recruitment regulations of the society.
While preparing the merit list, a weightage of five percentage (5%) for each completed year of service shall be given subject to a maximum of forty percentage adding to total percentage of Post graduate degree, B.Ed and Competitive Examination in respect of candidates appointed by the Karnataka Residential Education Institutions Society who are working as principals in Morarji Desai/Kitturu Rani Chennamma Residential Schools on contract basis as a onetime measure." Shall be deleted.
(b) The entries relating to category of posts of posts from serial numbers 9 to 17,-
