In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (a) of Sub-Section (3) of Section 21 of the Karnataka Small Causes Courts Act, 1964, the High Court of Karnataka hereby designates the Senior Civil Judges/Civil Judges mentioned in Column No.2 of the table below as the vacation Judges for the duration of adjournment of Small Causes Cases mentioned in Column No.3 during the period of Summer

PART-II

In exercise of the powers conferred under Clause (b) of Sub-Section (3) of Section 21 of the Karnataka Small Causes Courts Act, 1964 the Vacation Judges of Court of Small Causes are hereby directed to dispose of urgent civil matters in which injunction, stay of Proceedings and attachment orders etc., are sought for, during the period of Summer Vacation of 2018.

PART-III

In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-Section (5) of Section 21 of the Karnataka Small Causes Courts Act, 1964 the Vacation Judges are directed to have the same administrative control over the Staff of Court of Small Causes concerned, during the period of Summer Vacation of 2018, in the absence of Unit Head in the headquarters.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Sub-Section (3) of Section 28 of the Karnataka Civil Courts Act, 1964, the Vacation Judges are directed to dispose of urgent civil matters in which injunction, stay of proceedings and attachment orders etc., are sought for during the period of Summer Vacation of 2018.

PART – III

In exercise of the powers conferred under Sub-Section (5) of Section 28 of the Karnataka Civil Courts Act, 1964, the Vacation Judges are directed to exercise the same administrative control over the staff of the Civil Courts that are being exercised by the Prl.

District and Sessions Judge, during the period of Summer Vacation of 2018, in the absence of Prl. District and Sessions Judge.

PART – IV

In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 9(5) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, the Senior Civil Judges mentioned in Column No.2 of the above table are hereby authorized to exercise the powers of Sessions Judge for the disposal of any urgent application which is, or may be, made or pending before the District Judge of the District Courts mentioned in Column No.3 of the above table, during the period of Summer Vacation of 2014.

PART – V

Wherever the Senior Civil Judges mentioned in column No.2 are designated as Vacation Judges, the District Judges are directed to issue a Notification as required under Sub-Section (3) of Section 10 of the Criminal Procedure Code making provisions for the disposal of any urgent application appointing such officers.

During the absence of the Chief Judicial Magistrates in the station, all the Senior Civil Judges in the District, would exercise the powers of Chief Judicial Magistrate, in terms of this office Notification No.GOB(I) 2/2013 dated 2.3.2013.
