S. R. O. No. 639/2007.- WHEREAS , the place specified in the Schedule below is of vital importance to the country ;
AND WHEREAS , information with respect thereto, or the destruction or obstruction thereof, or interference therewith , would be useful to an enemy;
Now, THEREFORE , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- clause (d) of clause (8) of section 2 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923 (Central Act 19 of 1923) , read with Notification S. O. No. 1285 dated the 4th May , 1963 of the Ministry of Home Affairs , Government of India, the Govern- ment of Kerala hereby declare the place specified in the Schedule below to be a " Prohibited Place " for the purposes of the said Act and direct that a copy of this notification, both in English and Malayalam languages , be affixed to the said place.

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification , but is intended to indicate its general purport .)
It is considered necessary that the place mentioned in the Schedule to the above notification, namely the 110/ 11KV Sub Station of the Kerala State Electricity Board at Chengannur in Alappuzha District should be declared as a " Prohibited Place " under the Official Secrets Act , 1923, as the installation place is of vital importance to the country .
The notification is intended to achieve the above object .

അതിനെ സംബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള വിവരമോ , അതിൻറെ നശീകരണമോ തടസ്സപ്പെടുത്തലോ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അതിൻമേലുള്ള ഇടപെടലോ ശത്രുവിന് പ്രയോജനകരമായിരിക്കുമെന്നതിനാലും ; ഒരു ഇപ്പോൾ, അതിനാൽ , 1923 -ലെ ഔദ്യോഗിക രഹസ്യങ്ങൾ ആക്ററ് ( 1923 -ലെ 19-ാം കേന്ദ്ര ആക്ററ് ) - ലെ 2-ാം വകുപ്പ് ( 8 )-ാം ഖണ്ഡം ( ഡി ) ഉപഖണ്ഡവും ഭാരത സർക്കാരിൻറെ ആഭ്യന്തരകാര്യ മന്ത്രാലയത്തിൻറെ 1963 മേയ് 4-ാം തീയതിയിലെ എസ് . ഒ . 1285 -ാം നമ്പർ വിജ്‌ഞാപനവും കൂട്ടിവായിച്ച പ്രകാരം , നൽകപ്പെട്ട അധികാരങ്ങൾ വിനിയോഗിച്ച് , കേരള സർക്കാർ , പട്ടികയിൽ പ്രത്യേകമായി പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ള സ്ഥലം പ്രസ്തുത ആക്റ്ററിൻറെ ആവശ്യത്തിലേക്കായി ഒരു നിരോധിത സ്ഥലം " ആയി ഇതിനാൽ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുകയും ഈ വിജ്ഞാപനത്തിൻറെ ജംഗ്ലീഷിലും മലയാളത്തിലുമുള്ള ഓരോ പകർപ്പ് പ്രസ്തുത സ്‌ഥലത്ത് പതിപ്പിച്ചിരി ക്കണമെന്ന നിർദ്‌ദേശം നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു .
