Dated, Thiruvananthapuram, 26th July 2007.
S. R. O. No. 756/2007, WHEREAS , the places specified in the Schedules I and II below are of vital importance to the country :
AND WHEREAS , information with respect thereto , or the destruction or obstruction thereof, or interference therewith , would be useful to an enemy;
NOW, THEREFORE , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub - clause (d) of clause (8) of section 2 of the Official Secrets Act , 1923 ( Central Act 19 of 1923 ) , read with Notification S. O. No. 1285 dated the 4th May, 1963 of the Ministry of Home Affairs , Government of India, the Government of Kerala hereby declare the places specified in the Schedules I and II below to be "Prohibited Places" for the purpose of the said Act and direct that a copy of this notification, both in English and in Malayalam versions , thereof, be affixed to the said places.

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification , but is intended to indicate its general purport.)
It is considered necessary that the places mentioned in the Schedule to the above notification , the entrances of Titanium Di - oxide Pigment Unit and Mineral Separation Unit of Kerala Minerals & Metals Led . at Chavara in Kollam District should be declared as " Prohibited Places" under the Official Secrets Act , 1923 ( Central Act 19 of 1923 ) , as the installation place is of vital importance to the country .
Thes notification is intended to achieve the above obiect .
