Dated, Thiruvananthapuram, 24th July 2007 .
S. R. O. No. 812/2007.-WHEREAS , the place specified in the Schedule below is of vital importance to the country ;
AND WHEREAS , information with respect thereto , or the destruction or obstruction thereof, or interference therewith, would be useful to an enemy;
NOW, THEREFORE , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- clause (d) of clause (8) of section 2 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923 ( Central Act 19 of 1923 ) , read with Notification S. O. No. 1285 dated the 4th May, 1963 of the Ministry of Home Affairs , Government of India , the Government of Kerala hereby declare the place specified in the Schedule below to be " Prohibited Place " for the purpose of the said Act and direct that a copy of this notification, both in English and in Malayalam versions , thereof be affixed to the said place .

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification , but is intended to indicate its general purport. )
It is considered necessary that the place mentioned in the Schedule to the above notification , namely , the 66 KV Sub Station of the Kerala State Electricity Board at Kakkanad in Ernakulam District should be declared as a " Prohibited Place " under the Official Secrets Act , 1923 (Central Act 19 of 1923) , as the installation place is of vital importance to the country .
The notification is intended to achieve the above object .

ഇപ്പോൾ , അതിനാൽ , 1923 - ലെ ഔദ്യോഗിക രഹസ്യങ്ങൾ ആക‌ട് (1923 -ലെ 19-ാം കേന്ദ്ര ആക്‌ട് ) -ലെ രണ്ടാം വകുപ്പ് ( 8 )-ാം ഖണ്ഡ‌ം (ഡി ) ഉപഖണ്ഡവും ഭാരത സർക്കാരിൻറെ ആഭ്യന്തര മന്ത്രാലയത്തിൻറെ 1968 മേയ് 4-ാം തീയതിയിലെ എസ് , ഒ . 1285-ാം നമ്പർ വിജ്‌ഞാപനവും കൂട്ടി വായിച്ച പ്രകാരം , നൽകപ്പെട്ട അധികാരങ്ങൾ വിനിയോഗിച്ച് , കേരള സർക്കാർ , താഴെ പട്ടികയിൽ വ്യക്‌തമായി എടുത്തുപറഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ള സഥലം പ്രസ്തുത ആക്‌ററിൻറെ ആവശ്യത്തിലേക്കായി ഒരു " നിരോധിത സഥലം " ആയി ഇതിനാൽ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുകയും, 0 വിജ്ഞാപനത്തിന്റെ ഇംഗ്ലീഷിലും മലയാളത്തിലുമുള്ള ഓരോ പകർപ്പ് പ്രസ്തുത സ്ഥലത്ത് പതിച്ചിരി ക്കണമെന്ന് നിർദ്‌ദേശം നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു .
