6. A Medical Certificate as to the applicant's Physical Fitness Certificate issued by a Registered Medical Practitioner not below the Rank of Assistant Surgeon /A Class Medical Practitioner ,
It is hereby notified for the information of the public that Boat Crew Test under Travancore and CochinCanal Rales willbe conducted at the following Centres on the dates noted against each at 10 a.m.
C. Qualification, Examination Res etc. of the Boat Syrang Test:
1. Must not be less than 21 years of age as on 30-11-2007,
1. Ernakulam -17-12-2007 (For Master, Syrang and Driver) 18-12-2007 ( For Lascar)
2. Alappuzha -19-12-2007 (For Lascar)
2. Must have served as an Apprentice Syrang Trainee for two years and must have completed one year probation as per the probationary certificates.
3. Application fee-Rs . 12 .
A. Qualification, Examination Fee atc. of the Boat Master Test:
4. Two recent passport size photographs with signatureonit.
1. Mustbe able to read and write Malayala orEnglish.
5. Conduct Certificate.
2. Must not be lew than 24 years of age as an 30-11-2007-
D. Qualification, Examination Fee etc. of the Boat Larcar Test:
1. Must notbe less than 21 years of age as on 30-11-2007.
3. Must have served as an Apprentice Master Trainee in any Motor Boat for 3 years and must have completed one year probation as per the probationary licence.
2. Must have served as an Apprentice for one year by Deckmen/Polemen , Lascar in any fishing boat / country boat/motor boat respectively.

B. Qualification , Examination Fee etc. of the Boat DriverTest:
General
1. Must not be less than 21 years of age as on 30-11-2007.
1. To prove the date of birth , the applicant must submit true copy of the relevant schoot certificate/extract of admission register attestedby a Gazetted Officer .
2. Must have served as an Apprentice Boat Driver Trainee for two years and must have completed one year probation as pez probationary licence.
3. Application fee-Rs . 12.
4. Conduct Certificate.
5. Two recent passport size photographs with signature on it.
2. Service Certificate in original issued by the Owner of the boat with current 'D' form certificate/clearly stating the Name, Register Number and the date of commencement of training to prove the satisfactory completion of training required for each category should be submitted along with the application.
3. Original Conduct Certificate issuedby M. Ps./ M.L.As./Head of Local Bodies /High School Head Masters/Gazetted Officers should be submitted.
4. The Examination fee must be submitted in this office or the office of the Inspector of Boats, Alappuzha.
5. The probationary licence must be attached to the application for Master/ Driver/ Syrang etc. 6. Application should be made in the prescribed form No. 'G' annexed to this notification with all testimonials required .
if 7. If the candidate's service is insufficient or this testimonials do not in other respects fulfill the requirements of the rules , he shall be examined without payment of the additional fees.
8. Practical test for Master/ Syrang/Driver willbe conducted inboat having in board engine with reparate syrangs cabin and it should be produced by the candidates themselves to their own cost at the time of the test . Practical test for Lascars will be conducted in any backwaters near the examination centres and the candidates should bring suitable swimming dress.
Application in complete shape should be sent in the following address .
The Chief Inspector of Boats , 5th Floor , Civil Station, Kakkanadu and should reach this office on or before 5 p . m. on 1-12-2007.
Eligible candidates wilt be intimated from this office regarding the place, date and time of exami nation in due course. If anybody does not receive any information from this office tall 12-12-2007 such candidates should contact thos office to ascertain the position of their application.
