Sealed tenders are invited for the supply of the following stores so as to reach the Police Headquarters , Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala on or before 12 Noon on 12-12-2007.

Cost of tender forms Rs . 2,000+ VAT for Sl . Nos . 1 , 7 and 8, Rs . 700+ VAT for and 10 Rs. 400+ VAT for Sl . Nos . 3 , 11 and 12, Rs . 150+ VAT for Sl . Nos. 5 and 6, Rs . for Sl . No. 9 . Sl . Nos . 2, 4 1,000 + VAT Date and time of opening of tender- 12-12-2007, 3 p.m.
The tenders should be superscribed withscribed with tendertender number and name of the Store articles and addressed to the Director General of Police, Kerala , Thiruvananthapuram - 10 . Late tenders will not be accepted. The tenders will be opened at the time mentioned above , in the presence of the tenderers or their authorised representatives (with proof of identity) who may be present at that time.
Intending tenderers may on application to the Director General of Police, obtain requisite tender forms on which the tenders should be subunitted . In the case of Foriga Equipments the rate is to be quoted in Indian Money als Preference willbe given to those who are readywho are ready to supply the item withoat opening letter of Gredit. No advance payment can be made for procuring any of the above items . Iatending tenderers may also include for installation of technical items , training of officers and on-site support such as atleast 3 years of warranty , and theremiter A.M.C./A.T.S . for a period of 3years on a turn key basis at a reasonable cost (to be specified along with the Quotation) in the tenders .
Application for tender forms shouldbe accompanied by a cash remittance price fixed for a form which is not refundable . The sale of tender form will be closed at 4p.m. on 11-12-2007. Cheques , Drafts, Postage Stamps etc. will not be accepted towards the cost of tender forms nor will the formsbe sent byV.P.P. However Moncy Orders sent in the name of the Additional Assistant Inspector General of Police, Police Headquarters , Thiruvananthapuram - 10, willbe accepted . The amount should include the postage /courier charges for sending Tender Documents . The Money Order along with the request should reach Police Headquarters atleast 7 days before the closing of the sales of the tender docaments enabling us to send the documents well in advance .
Earnest Money Deposit @ 1 % of quoted value should be furnished in favour of Additional Assistant Inspector General of Police , Police Headquarters , Thiruvananthapuram- 10. The firmswhich are exempted from furnishing Barnest Money Deposit should produce a copy of relevant authorized documents for verification,
Specifications and list of items of cach tender shall be obtainable from PHQ with the tender forms . The firms should also furnish the detailed specifications , make , brochures, technical support network in Kerala etc. of the equipments along with the tenders . The tenders without any detailed speci- fications of quoted items , brochures , make etc. will be rejected forthwith . The tenders without separate envelope and not superscribing the tender number etc , will be rejected.
The tenders should also mention the details of A.M.C./A.T.S . and warranty etc. alongwith the tender documents . Preference willbe given to the products quoted by the manufacturer or their authorised declers having authorisation from the original manufacturer . Similarly preferences will be given to the tenders having experience of supplying similar/ same items to Government Departments or Organisations.
As the items are urgently required, the selected bidder will have to supply the item within a month . In case for any pressing circumstance there will be delayed supply the tenders justifiable grounds in writing . must cite adequate, Specifications of the above items and more details can be obtained from Police Headquarters, Thiruvananthapuram during working hours of Police Headquarters.
Samples will have to be submitted free of cost whenever necessary which can be returned only after supply is effected. The firms shouldbe ready to show live demonstration of technical equipments at their own cost and risk on 13th and 14th of December 2007 in the State Forensic Science Laburatory, Thiruvananthapuram between 11 a , m . to 5 p . m. In the event of the firms are not able to show live demonstration they need to convince the Technical Committee about such in ability and resort to computer animation, Scale Models, Videos , Slide shows etc. Police Department is not liable to send any individual communication . In some cases Police Department is not responsible to return the samples after verification. The rates quoted should be valid and firm till 31-3-2008.
