Sealed and competitive tenders are invited from the manufacturers under "Two cover system" for the supply instruments and equipments for the use of Livestock Products Inspecting Office, Ernakulam for the year 2007-08.
First Cover (Cover A-Technical) will have the following
enclosuresó
1. Specification of the item without rate and list of places where it has been supplied and installed .
2. Letter from original manufacturer (in case of agents) regarding assurance about supply of spare parts, AMC conditions (Period of visits in a year etc.), warranty conditions, year of warranty etc.
3. Attested copy of Sales Tax Clearance and Turnover Certificate obtained from Sales Tax Authorities.
4. An affidavit in stamp paper worth Rs. 50 notarized by a Notary Public of either the place where the person making the affidavit is residing or of Thiruvananthapuram.
5. Copy of ISO Certification, if any;
6. A covering letter with name, address, Pin Code, Tel/Fax No., E-mail address and other details of the firm in which the list of enclosures are specified and address to the Director, Department of Animal Husbandry, Thiruvananthapuram.
Pro forma for the above certificates are attached separately.
Both covers (A & B) must be effectively sealed and put in another cover, which is also sealed and submitted. Cover A & B will be opened as per the schedule given below. cover B of those tenderers who satisfy the above conditions in Cover A will only be opened. The cover B of rejected tenderers will be returned without opening. Details of instruments and equipments to be supplied can be had from the tender form, Govt. of Kerala Web site—www.kerala.gov. in and the department website ahdkerala.govt.in Intending tenderers may send the exact amount towards the cost of tender form. Cheques, Postage Stamps, Postal Orders, Demand Drafts etc. will not be accepted as the cost of tender form nor the form be sent by Value Payable Post. Tender form can also be obtained from the Office of the Director of Animal Husbandry on payment of the cost in cash during office hours. Late tenders will not be considered under any circumstances. Application for the tender form should be accompanied by a cash remittance of Rs. 450 (Rupees for hundred and fifty only including VAT) which is price fixed for a tender form and which is not refundable under any circumstances. Rate of Duplicate tender form is Rs. 225 (Rupees two hundred and twenty five only). The tender forms are not transferable. Sale of tender forms will be closed at 2 p.m. on 19-12-2007. Purchase of Books-2007 for Central Library, Nursing College, Thrissur.
1. Flat discount rate should be quoted for the Books.
2. Complete list of Books, that the tenderer can supply should be submitted along with the tender, with price of each book.
3. EMD by way of D. D. drawn in favour of Principal, Nursing College, Mulamkunnathukavu, Thrissur at the rate of 1% of the total cost of books quoted (subject to a maximum of Rs. 5000) should be submitted with the tender.
4. Agreement in the prescribed form should be finished along with the tender.

The tenders will be opened at the time mentioned above in the presence of the tenderers or their authorized representatives (with proof of Identity) who may be present at that time.
Intending tenderers may on application to the Director General of Police, obtain requisite tender forms on which the tenders should be submitted. In the case of Foreign Equipments the rate is to be quoted in Indian Money also. Preference will be given to those who are ready to supply the item without opening Letter of Credit. No advance payment can be made for procuring any of the above items. Intending tenderers may also include for installation of technical items, training of officers and on- site support such as at least 3 years of warranty and thereafter A. M. C./A. T. S. for a period of 3 years on a turn key basis at a reasonable cost (to be specified along with the quotation) in the tenders.
The tenders should also mention the details of AMC/ATS and warranty etc. along with the tender documents. Preference will be given to the products quoted by the manufacturer or their authorised dealers having authorisation from the original manufacturer. Similarly preference will be given to the tenders having experience of supplying similar/same items to Govt. Departments or Organisations.
As the items are urgently required, the selected bidder will have to supply the item within a month. In case for any pressing circumstance there will be delayed supply the tenders must cite adequate, justifiable grounds in writing.
Specifications of the above items and more details can be obtained from Police Headquarters, Thiruvananthapuram during working hours of Police Headquarters.
Samples will have to be submitted free of cost whenever necessary which can be returned only after supply is effected. The firms should be ready to show live demonstration of technical equipments at their own cost and risk on 17th of December 2007 in the Police Training College, Thiruvananthapuram between 11 a. m. to 5 p. m. In the event of the firms are not able to show live demonstration they need to convince the Technical Committee about such inability and resort to Computer Animation. Scale Models, Videos, Slide Shows etc. Police Department is not liable to send any individual communication. In some cases Police Department is not responsible to return the samples after verification. The rates quoted should be valid and firm till 31-3-2008.
The Director General of Police is empowered to reject any tender without assigning any reason.
