Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification and is
intended to indicate its general purport.)
Regulation 13 deals with the travelling allowance and
daily allowance and sitting for non official members of the
District Authority and Taluk Legal Services Committies.
Since the sitting fee of Rs. 50 per day fixed in 1998 has
become too inadequate in the present day money value,
the amendment is effected. For meeting the office
contingency in the High Court Legal Services Committee
and in the District Legal Services Authorities Rs. 500 per
month fixed in 1998 has also become inadequate in the
present day context. The imprest money to be kept by the
Secretaries of the aforesaid institutions i.e. is Rs. 200 also
has become too small an amount to meet the urgent
expenses.
