G.O. (Ms) No. 241 /2007/Law. Thiruvananthapuram, 24th October 2007 .
Sri G. Rajendra Prasad , Advocate, Kurumondel, Paravur, Kollam District was appointed as Notary for 3 years with effect from 3-9-1999 . His Certi- ficate of Practice was renewed periodically and certificate renewed for five years with effect from 3-9-2002 expired on 2-9-2007.
As per letter dated 2-6-2007, Sri Rajendra Prasad has requested the Government to suspend his Netaryship temporarily with effect from 2-6-2007. Since he has been appointed as a member of Kerala Public Service Commission . But there is no provision in the Notaries Act , 1952 to suspend the Notary- ship for particular period . Moreover Sri Rajendra Prasad has not applied for the renewal of his Certi- ficate of Practice which expired on 2-9-2007.
In the above circumstances , the Government are pleased to remove the name of Sri Rajendra Prasad from the Register of Notaries with effect from 2-6-2007 in the exercise of powers conferred under Section 10 (a) of the Notaries Act , 1956 .
