NOTIFICATION

S. R. O. No. 189/2008 .- WHEREAS , the place specified in the Schedule below is of vital importance to the Country ;
AND WHEREAS , information with respect thereto , or the destruction or the obstruction thereof, or interference therewith , would be useful to an enemy ;
NOW, THEREFORE , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -clause (d) of clause ( 8 ) of section 2 of the Official Secrets Act , 1923 ( Central Act 19 of 1923 ) , read with Notification S. O. No. 1285 dated the 4th May, 1963 of the Ministry of Home Affairs , Government of India , the Government of Kerala hereby declare the place specified in the Schedule below to be a " Prohibited Place" for the purposes of the said Act and direct that a copy of this Notification, both in English and Malayalam languages, be affixed to the said place .

t It is considered necessary that the place mentioned in the Schedule the above Notification , namely, the 110 KV Sub Station of the Kerala Sate Electricity Board at Kandanad in Ernakulam District should be declared as a " Prohibited Place " under the Official Secrets Act , 1923 (Central Act 19 of 1923) , as installation place is of vital iraporance to the Country . the
The notification is intended to achieve the above object .
