Sealed short tenders are invited for the supply of the following stores so as to reach Police Headquarters , Thiruvananthapuram on or before 12 noon on 28-2-2008 .

The tenders should be superscribed with tender number and name of the store articles and addressed to the Director General of Police, Kerala , Thiruvananthapuram- 10 . Late tenders will not be accepted . The tenders will be opened at the time mentioned above, in the presence of the tenderers or their authorised representatives ( with proof of Identity) who may be present at that time .
Intending tenderers may, on application to the Director General of Police , Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram and obtain the requisite tender forms on which the tenders should be submitted. In the case of Foreign Equipments the rate is to be quoted in Indian Money also . Preference willbe given to those who are ready to supply the item without opening Letter of Credit . No advance payment can be made for procuring any of the above items .
Intending tenderers may also include for installation of technical items , training of officers and on-site support such as at least 3 years of warranty and thereafter A.M.C./A.T.S . for a period o 3years on a turn key basis at a reasonable cost ( to be specified along with the quotation) in the tenders.f Application for tender forms should be accompanied by a cash remittance of the price fixed for a form which is not refundable . The sale of tender forms will be closed at 4 p . m. on 27-2-2008 . Cheques , Drafts , Postage stamps etc. will not be accepted towards the cost of forms , nor will the forms be sentby VPP . However Money Orders sent in the name of the Additional Assistant Inspector General of Police, Police Headquarters , Thiruvananthapuram- 10 willbe accepted . The amount should include the postage/ courier charges for sending Tender Douments. The Money order alongwith the request should reach Police Headquarters atleast 7 days before the closing of the sale of the tender documents anabling us to send the documents will in advance ,
Earnest Money Deposit @ 1 % of the quoted value should be furnished in favour of Additional Assistant Inspector General of Police, Police Headquarters , Thiruvananthapuram- 10 . The firms which are exempted fromfurnishing Earnest Money Deposit should produce a copy of relevant authorised documents for verification.
Specifications and list of items of each tender shall be obtainable from Police Headquarters with the tender forms . The firms should also furnish the detailed Specifications , make , brochures, Test Report from Government Laboretaries /Agencies , technical support network in Kerala ete . of the equipments along with the tenders. The tenders without detailed specifications of quoted items , Brochures , make etc. willbe tejected forthwith. The tenders without separate envelope and not superscribing the tender number etc. will be rejected .
The tenders should also mention the details of AMC/ATS and warranty etc. along with the tender documents . Preference will be given to the products quotedby the manufacturer or their authorised dealers having authorisation from the original manufacturer . Similarly preferences will be given to the tenders having experience of supplying similar/ same items to Government Departments or Organisations .
As the items are urgently required, the selected bidder will have to supply the item within a month. In case for any pressing circumstance there will be delayed supply the tenders must adequate, justifiable grounds in writing. cite Specifications of the above itmes and more details can be obtained form Police Headquarters , Thiruvananthapuram during working hours of Police Head Quarters .
Samples will have to be submitted free of cost whenever necessary which can be returned only after supply is effected. The firms should be ready to show live demonstration of technical equipments at their own cost and risk. The Demonstration date and venue will also be published in Kerala Police Website . In the event of the firms are not able to show live demonstration they need to convince the Technical Committee about such inability and computer animation. resort to Seals Models , Videos Slide shows etc. Police Department is not liable to send any individual communication. In some cases Police Department is not responsible to return the samples after verification . The rates quoted should be vlaid and firm till 30-6-2008 .
The Director General of Police is empowered to reject any tender without assigning any reason .
