Sealed tenders are invited for the supply of Laboratory Equipments to Physics Department of the College for Rs. 65,000 under Development of Laboratories (Plan) during 2008-09. The tenders should be superscribed as "Supply of Laboratory Equipments under Development of Laboratories (Plan) during 2008-09" and addressed to the Principal, PTM Govt. College, Perinthalmanna, Malappuram District, Pin-679 322, Kerala State. The last date and time of receipt of filled tender is on 31-10-2008 at 2 p. m. and will be opened on the same day at 2.30 p. m. Sale of tender forms will be closed on 30-10-2008 at 2 p. m. Late tenders will not be accepted.

Intending tenderers may on application to the Principal, PTM Govt. College, Perinthalmanna, Malappuram District, Pin-679 322, Kerala State, obtain the requisite tender form on which tenders should be submitted. Application for the tender form should be accompanied by a cash remittance of Rs. 400 towards cost of forms plus Rs. 50 towards VAT, which is the price fixed for a tender form and which is not refundable under any circumstances. The tender forms are not transferable. Cheques, Postal Orders, Drafts etc. will not be accepted towards the cost of tender form nor will the form be sent by V.P.P. Those who are required tender forms by Registered Post, should sent Rs. 482 by M.O. including cost of tender form and Registered Postal charges.

Every tender should be completely filled, signed and accompanied by Demand Draft towards 1% of total cost of equipments to be quoted. Short/Term/Fixed Deposit receipt should not be accepted towards E.M.D. E.M.D. carry no interest. The rate, VAT and other charges should be quoted separately for each item. The successful tenderers should supply the equipments within one month after the receipt of the supply order at their own expenses. The firms who are exempted from furnishing E.M.D. should attach true copy of the exemption order along with tender documents. Every tender should execute an agreement in Kerala Stamp Paper worth Rs. 50 along with the tender.

The undersigned will have the right to cancel or extend the tender formalities without any further notice. The cash transactions in the office is at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on all working days.

The firms who are exempted for furnishing EMD should enclose the attested copy of the exemption order. EMD will not cary any interest.

4. Rates and sales tax and condition of supply of articles should be clearly stated in respect of each item.

5. Articles should be supplied within 15 days of the receipt of supply order at their own at District Medical Office (Health), Kannur.

6. Tenders will be opened in the presence of such of the tenderer's or their authorised representation who may be present at the time of opening of tender.

7. Due to any reason of the day of opening the tender is declared as a public holiday, the same will be opened on the next working day.

8. The District Medical Officer of Health, Kannur and the Purchasing Committee to right to accept or reject any tender without assigning any reason thereof.

Sealed tenders are invited for the supply of Survey Stones in Thrissur District with the specifications and quality described below:

Description of the Survey Stone :—Hard Granite Stones of durable quality having dimensions of 60 × 15 ×15 cms.

Approximate number of Survey Stones required:—25,000.

Total estimate amount— Rs. 7,00,000.

The tenders should be superscribed as "Tender for the supply of Survey Stones in Thrissur District" and addressed to the Assistant Director of Survey and Land Records (Range), Thrissur-1 so as to reach him before 2 p .m. on 28-11-2008. Late tenders will not be accepted. Tenders will be opened at 3 p. m. on the same date in the presence of such of the tenderers or their authorised representatives who may be present at that time.

The stones are to be supplied within one month from the date of indents at the places which will be mentioned in the indents.

The persons submitting tenders should produce an original solvency certificate on a stamp paper worth Rs. 50 obtained from the Tahsildar of the Taluk within a period of 6 months prior to the date of the tender, clearly indicating the details of the properties which should not be to an amount less than 10% of the estimated cost (subject to a minimun of Rs. 70,000) of the tenders along with their tenders.

In the case of successful tenderers, they should pledge the properties to the value of fifty percent of the total value shown in the solvency certificate with the Government till the expiry of the contract or they should pledge the Bank Draft/Bank Guarantee for the remittance of an amount of not less than 5% of the value of the contract. This is in addition to the security of 5 percent of the value of the contract.

Intending tenderers may on application to the Assistant Director of Survey and Land Records (Range), Thrissur-1, obtain the requisite tender forms on which tender should be submitted.

An application for the tender forms should be accompanied by a cash remittance of Rs. 1,000 with 10% sales tax which is the price fixed for tender form and not refundable under any circumstances. The tender forms are not transferable. Sale of tender forms will be closed at 12 Noon on 28-11-2008. Cheques, Postal Orders etc., will not be accepted towards the cost of tender forms nor the tender form be sent by V.P.P. Duplicate tender forms, if required will be issued at Rs. 500 with 10% sales tax per copy.

All the Survey Stones must be squared to one third of their length from the top have a coconut tree mark, cut in one centimetre deep on one of the lateral sides. The coconut tree mark must have a length of 12 cms. and total width of 7 cms. and the top of the mark shall be 7 cms. below the top level of the stones. Stones required for the traverse survey of block boundary, Khandom boundary, Trijunction, Town Survey etc., must have appropriate symbols as per rules, which will be specified in the intend.

Each tender, should remit a sum of Rs.7000 before 12 Noon on 28-11-2008, in this office towards the earnest money deposit and the receipt issued from this office should be attached with the tender, Earnest Money Deposit may be either in the form of Crossed Bank Draft or Treasury Savings Bank Deposit. The tenders without receipt of the earnest money deposit will not be considered.

An agreement in the prescribed form on the stamp paper worth Rs. 50 (Rs. fifty only) should also be enclosed along with the tender as per the forms and conditions prescribed in para 33 of the tender.
