Dated, Thiruvananthapuram , 3rd September 2008 .
S.R.O.No. 1101/2008 . WHEREAS , the place specified in the Schedule below is of vital importance to theuntry ;
AND WHEREAS , information with respect thereto , or the destruction or obstruction thereof, or interference therewith , would be useful to an enemy ;
NOW, THEREFORE , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub - clause (d) of clause (8) of section 2 of the Official Secrets Act , 1923 ( Central Act 19 of 1923) , read with Notification S. O. No. 1285 dated the 4thMay, 1963 of the Ministry of Home Affairs , Government of India , the Government of Kerala hereby declare the place specified in the Schedule below to be a " Prohibited Place " for the purposes of the said Act and direct that a copy of this notification , both in English and Malayalam languages , be affixed to the said place.

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification , but is intended to indicate its general purport .)
It is considered necessary that the place mentioned in the Schedule to the above notification , namely , the 110 KV Sub Station of the Kerala State Electricity Board at Mannarkkad in Palakkad District shouldbe declared as a " Prohibited Place " under the Official Secrets Act , 1923 (Central Act 19 of 1923 ) , as the installation place is of vital importance to the country.
The notification is intended to achieve the above object .

ആക്ററ് ഇപ്പോൾ , അതിനാൽ , 1923 - ലെ ഔദ്യോഗിക രഹസ്യങ്ങൾ (1923 - ലെ 19-ാം കേന്ദ്ര ആക്ററ് ) -ലെ 2-ാം വകുപ്പ് ( 8) -ാം ഖണ്ഡം ( ഡി) ഉപഖണ്ഡവും ഭാരത സർക്കാരിൻറെ ആഭ്യന്തരകാര്യ മന്ത്രാലയത്തിൻ 1963 മേയ് 4 -ാം തീയതിയിലെ എസ് . ഒ . 1285 -ാം നമ്പർ വിജ്ഞാപനവും കൂട്ടിവായിച്ചപ്രകാരം , നൽകപ്പെട്ട അധികാരങ്ങൾ വിനിയോഗിച്ച് , കേരള സർക്കാർ , താഴെ പട്ടികയിൽ വ്യക്തമായി എടുത്തുപറഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ള സ്ഥലം പ്രസ്തുത ആക്ററിൻറെ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾക്കായി ഒരു "നിരോധിത സ്ഥലം" ആയി ഇതിനാൽ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുകയും, ഈ വിജ്ഞാപനത്തിന്റെ ഇംഗ്ലീഷും മലയാളത്തിലുമുള്ള ഓരോ പകർപ്പ് പ്രസ്തുത സ്ഥലത്ത് പതിച്ചിരിക്കണ മെന്ന് നിർദ്ദേശം നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു .
