In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 11 ( 3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure , 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974) read with section 32 (1 ) ibid , the High Court of Kerala hereby confers upon the Munsiff, Pala , the Munsiff , Kanjirappally, the Principal , Munsiff, Kottayam, the Additional Munsiff, Kottayam and the Munsiff, Vaikom , the powers of a Judicial Magistrate of the First Class and further confers upon them under Section 260 ( 1 ) ibid, the powers to conduct summary trials of the offences mentioned in the said sub section .
