Dated, Thiruvananthapuram, 23rd September 2008.
S.R.O. No. 1123 /2008.- WHEREAS , the place specified in the Schedule below is of vital importance to the country;
AND WHEREAS , information with respect thereto , or the destruction or obstruction thereof, or interference therewith, would be useful to an enemy ;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (d) ofclause (8) of section 2 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923 (Central Act 19 of1923) , read with Notification S.O. No. 1285 , dated the 4th May , 1963 of the Ministry of Home Affairs , Government of India , the Government of Kerala hereby declare the place specified in the Schedule below to be a "Prohibited Place" for the purposes of the said Act and direct that a copy ofthis Notification, both in English and Malayalam Languages , be affixed to the said place.

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport. )
It is considered necessary that the place mentioned in the Schedule to the above Notification , namely the 33 KV Sub Station of the Kerala State Electricity Board at Thrithala in Palakkad District should be declared as a " Prohibited Place " under the Official Secrets Act , 1923 (Central Act 19 of 1923) , as the installation place is of vital importance to the country.
The notification is intended to achieve the above object .

ഇപ്പോൾ , അതിനാൽ , 1923 -ലെ ഔദ്യോഗിക രഹസ്യങ്ങൾ ആക്റ് (1923 - ലെ 19-ാം കേന്ദ്ര ആക്‌ററ്) -ലെ 2-ാം വകുപ്പ് ( 8 )-ാം ഖണ്ഡം ( ഡി ) ഉപഖണ്ഡവും ഭാരത സർക്കാരിന്റെ ആഭ്യന്തരകാര്യമന്ത്രാലയത്തിൻറെ 1963 മേയ് 4-ാം തീയതിയിലെ എസ് . ഒ . 1285 -ാം നമ്പർ വിജ്ഞാപനവും കൂട്ടിവായിച്ചപ്രകാരം , നൽകപ്പെട്ട അധികാരങ്ങൾ വിനിയോഗിച്ച് , കേരള സർക്കാർ , താഴെ പട്ടികയിൽ വ്യക്‌തമായി എടുത്തുപറഞ്ഞിട്ടുളള പ്രസ്തുത ആക്ററിൻറെ ആവശ്യത്തിലേക്കായി ഒരു "നിരോധിത സ്ഥലം '' ആയി ഇതിനാൽ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുകയും, ഈ ഇംഗ്ലീഷിലും മലയാളത്തിലുമുള്ള ഓരോ പകർപ്പ് പ്രസ്തുത സ്‌ഥലത്ത് വിജ്ഞാപനത്തിൻ പതിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കണമെന്ന് നിർദ്ദേശം നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
