NOTIFICATION
G.O. (Ms. ) No. 149/2008/Home.
Dated, Thiruvananthapuram , 23rd September 2008 .
S. R. O. No. 1142/2008.-WHEREAS , the place specified in the Schedule below is of vital importance to the country ;
AND WHEREAS, information with respect thereto , or the destruction or obstruction thereof, or interference therewith, would be useful to an enemy;
NOW, THEREFORE , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (d ) of clause (8) of section 2 of the Official Secrets Act , 1923 (Central Act 19 of 1923) , read with Notification S. O. No. 1285 dated the 4th May, 1963 of the Ministry of Home Affairs , Government of India, the Government of Kerala hereby declare the place specified in the Schedule below to be a " Prohibited Place" for the purposes of the said Act and direct that a copy of this Notification, both in English and Malayalam languages , be affixed to the said place .

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification , but is intended to indicate its general purport . )
It is considered necessary that the place mentioned in the Schedule to the above Notification , namely , the Shore Tank Farm of Bharath Petroleum Corporation Ltd. , at Puthuvype in Ernakulam District should be declared as a " Prohibited Place" under the Official Secrets Act, 1923 (Central Act 19 of. 1923 ) , as the installation place is of vital importance to the country .
This notification is intended to achieve the above object .

സർക്കാരിൻറെ ഇപ്പോൾ , അതിനാൽ , 1923 -ലെ ഔദ്യോഗിക രഹസ്യങ്ങൾ ആക00* ( 1923 -ലെ 19-ാം കേന്ദ്ര ആക്റ്റ്) ലെ 2-ാം വകുപ്പ് ( 8 )-ാം ഖണ്ഡം (ഡി ) ഉപഖണ്ഡവും ആഭ്യന്തരകാര്യമന്ത്രാലയത്തിൻ 1963 മേയ് 4-ാം തീയതിയിലെ എസ് . ഒ . 1285 -ാം നമ്പർ വിജ്‌ഞാപനവും കൂട്ടിവായിച്ച പ്ര കാരം , നൽകപ്പെട്ട അധികാരങ്ങൾ വിനിയോഗിച്ച് , കേരള സർക്കാർ , താഴെ പട്ടികയിൽ വ്യക്തമായി എടുത്തു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ള സ്ഥലം പ്രസ്തുത ആക്റിന്റെ ആവശ്യത്തിലേക്കായി ഒരു " നിരോധിത സ്ഥലം " ആയി ഇതിനാൽ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുകയും ഈ വിജ്ഞാപനത്തിന്റെ ഇംഗ്ലീഷിലും മലയാളത്തിലുമുളള പതിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കണമെന്ന നിർദ്ദേശം നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു . 60000 പകർപ്പ് പ്രസ്തുത സ് ഥല ത്ത
