Shri . Varghese Thomas , Advocate & Former Notary , Kollam by application dated 3-1-2007 , applied for the renewal of Certificate of Practices as Notary . The validity of his Certificate of Practice expired on 31-12-2006.

The Government have examined the matter in detail and decided not to renew the Certificate of Practice in respect of Shri Varghese Thomas . Advocate , Kollam and to remove his name from the Registers of Notaries with immediate effect .

As per the letter dated 11-2-2008 read aboves Sri Jacob Stephen , has requested to suspend his Certificate of Practice from 11-2-2008 for five year and issue orders allowing him to continue his practice as Notary after 10-2-2013 , since he has been appointed as the President of Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum, Pathanamthitta for 5 years with effect from 11-2-2008 .

Government have examined the matter in detail and decided to cancel the Certificate of Practice in respect of Sri Jacob Stephen , Advocate , Pathanamthitta with Reg . No. 16/97 / PTA and remove his name from the Register of Notaries with effect from 11-2-2008 since there is no provision in the Notaries Act, 1952 or Notaries Rules , 1956 for voluntary suspension of notaryship .

P. Jayachandran Nair, Advocate, 'Arsham' , Parvathipuram Gramam , Attingal P. He has also requested to accept his resignation as Notary with effect from 31-5-2008. Manmathan , Advocate &, Notary, Gayathri, Mattam South , Thattarampalam P.
