Dated, Thiruvananthapuram, 24th September 2008 .
S.R.O.No. 1185/2008 . WHEREAS , the place specified in the Schedule below is of vital importance to the country ;
AND WHEREAS , the information with respect thereto , or the destruction or obstruction thereof, i or interference therewith , wouldbe useful to an enemy ;
NOW, THEREFORE , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -clause (d) of clause (8) of section 2 of the Official Secrets Act , 1923 ( Central Act 19 of 1923 ) , read with Notification S. O. No. 1285 dated the 4th May , 1963 of the Ministry of Home Affairs , Government of India , the Government of Kerala hereby declare the place specified in the Schedule below to be a " Prohibited Place" for the purposes of the said Act and direct that a copy of this notification , both in English and Malayalam languages , be affixed to the said place .

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification , but is intended to indicate its general purport . )
It is considered necessary that the place mentioned in the Schedule to the above notification , namely , the 66 KV Sub Station of the Kerala State Electricity Board at Kothamangalam in Ernakulam District should be declared as a " Prohibited Place " under the Official Secrets Act, 1923 (Central Act 19 of 1923 ) , as the installation place is of vital Importance to the country.
The notification is intended to achieve the above object .

ഇപ്പോൾ , അതിനാൽ , 1923 - ലെ ഔദ്യോഗിക രഹസ്യങ്ങൾ ആക്ററ് (1923 -ലെ 19.0. കേന്ദ്ര ആക്ററ്) -ലെ 2 -ാം വകുപ്പ് ( 8)-ാം ഖണ്ഡം ( ഡി ) ഉപഖണ്ഡഡവും ഭാരത സർക്ക‌ാരിൻറെ ആഭ്യന്തരകാര്യ മന്ത്രാലയത്തിൻറ 1963 മേയ " 4 -ാം തീയതിയിലെ എസ് . . 1285 -ാം നമ്പർ വിജ്ഞ"ഞാപനവും കൂട്ടിവായിച്ച പ്രകാരം , നൽകപ്പെട്ട അധികാരങ്ങൾ വിനിയോഗിച്ച് , കേരള സർക്കാർ , താഴെ പട്ടികയിൽ വ്യക്തമായി എടുത്തുപറഞ്ഞിട്ടും സ്ഥലം പ്രസ്തുത ആക്ററിൻറെ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾക്കായി ഒരു "നിരോധിത സ്ഥലം " ആയി ഇതിനാൽ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുകയും, ഈ വിജ്ഞാപനത്തിന്റെ ഇംഗ്ലീഷിലും മലയാളത്തിലുമുള്ള ഓരോ പകർപ്പ് പ്രസ്തുത സ്ഥ‌ലത്ത് പതിപ്പിച്ചി രിക്കണമെന്ന നിർദ്ദേശം നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
