Dated, Thiruvananthapuram , 24th September 2008 .
S. R. O. No. 1210 /2008.- WHEREAS , the place specified in the Schedule below is of vital importance to the country;
AND WHEREAS, information with respect thereto , or the destruction or obstruction thereof, or interference therewith, would be useful to an enemy ;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- clause (d) of clause (8 ) of section 2 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923 ( Central Act 19 of 1923 ) , read with Notification S.O. No. 1285 dated the 4th May, 1963 of the Ministry of Home Affairs , Government of India , the Government of Kerala hereby declare the place specified in the Schedule below to be a "prohibited place" for the purposes of the said Act and direct that a copy of this Notification , both in English and Malayalam Languages ,be affixed to the said place .

Explanatory Note
(Thisdoes not form part of the notification, but is intended to ind cate its general purport.)
It is considered necessary that the place mentioned in the Schedule to the above Notification, namely the 33 KV Sub Station of the Kerala State Electricity Board at Kongad in Palakkad District should be declared as a " prohibited place" under the Official Secrets Act , 1923 (Central Act 19 of 1923 ) , as the installation place is of vital importance to the country .
The notification is intended to achieve the above object .

അതിനെ സംബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള വിവരമോ , അതിന്റെ നശീകരണമോ , തടസ്സപ്പെടുത്തലോ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അതിൻമേലുള്ള ഇടപെടലോ ശത്രുവിന് പ്രയോജനകരമായിരിക്കുമെന്നതിനാലും ;
ഇപ്പോൾ , അതിനാൽ , 1923 -ലെ ഔദ്യോഗിക രഹസ്യങ്ങൾ ആക്ററ് (1923 -ലെ 19-ാം കേന്ദ്ര ആക്ററ് ) -ലെ 2-ാം വകുപ്പ് ( 8)-ാം ഖണ്ഡം ( ഡി) ഉപഖണ്ഡവും 6000 സർക്കാരിൻറ ആഭ്യന്തരകാര്യമന്ത്രാലയത്തിൻറെ 1963 മേയ് 4-ാം തീയതിയിലെ എസ്.ഒ. 1285 -ാം നമ്പർ വിജ്‌ഞാപനവും കൂട്ടിവായിച്ചപ്രകാരം , നൽകപ്പെട്ട അധികാരങ്ങൾ വിനിയോഗിച്ച് , കേരള സർക്കാർ , താഴെ പട്ടികയിൽ വ്യക‌തമായി എടുത്തുപറഞ്ഞിട്ടുളള (പസ്തുത ആക്ററിൻറെ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾക്കായി ഒരു "നിരോധിത സ്ഥലം " ആയി ഇതിനാൽ (പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുകയും , ♡ വിജ്ഞാപനത്തിന്റെ ഇംഗ്ലീഷിലും മലയാളത്തിലുമുള്ള ഓരോ പകർപ്പ് ( പ്രസ്തു‌ത സ്ഥലത്ത് പതിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കണമെന്ന നിർദ്‌ദേശം നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
