the The tender for Pre-qualification and execution of the following work is invited by Superintending Engineer , (Roads and Bridges ), South Circle , Thiruvananthapuram for and on behalf of the Governor of Kerala from financially sound and well experienced Registered ' A' Class Contractors /Firms of Kerala Public Works Contractors / Department/ Irrigation who have successfully completed atleast one similar work costing more than 40% (Forty percentage) of the estimate P.A.C. of work during the last five years . The application for tender schedule should supported by Certificate of prior experience in work as nentioned below obtained from agreement authority and tender schedule will be issued only to those who satisfy this condition . Necessary Certificate in this effect shall be produced from the officers concerned below the rank of Executive Engineer . Tenders should be submitted so as to reach the undersigned on or before the date and time prescribed for the work below by Registered Post/Speed Post. Courier Service will not be accepted . Competitive postal tenders in sealed cover superscribing the name of work is invited under two cover system for and on behalf of the Governor of Kerala by the undersigned from " A" Class or equivalent registered contractors ( individual/ firm) of the Kerala Public Works Department upto 4 p.m. on 23-12-2008 . Technical bids shall be opened by the Superintending Engineer or by anauthorised officer on the same dayat4.30 p . m.

in the presence of tenderers present . The Department will not be responsible in any way for the non-receipt of tenders in time due to the postal or any other delay .

The technical bid will be examined and decided by the Chief Engineer's Tender Committee and qualified bidders will be intimated . Financial bid ofpre-qualified bidders shall be opened after notifying the date and time to the qualified bidders .

2. The prospective tenderers (individual/firm) have to mobilise the required machinery for the work by themselves . Tender forms shall be issued only to those tenderers who produce documental evidence of the ownership of such equipments and machinery.

The prospective tenderers should have completed at least one work of similar nature costing at least 50% of the PAC of the work tendered during the lastthe last 5 years and such completed works shall necessarily include bituminous items such as BUSG , BM/ DBM, BC / SDBC to the tune of at least 50% of the scheduled quantity of the work concerned. Tender forms shall be issued only to those tenderer (individual/firm) who produce certificate to this effect issuedby the concerned Executive Engineer .

4. No tender on joint venture is acceptable .

5. The tenderer shall enclose a programme chart of work along with the tender .

6. Receipt of sale of tender form must be attached along with the tender .

7. The rates quoted by the tenderer will be final and there would be no post-tender negotiations regarding the quoted rates .

8. A pre-bid meeting will be held at 11 a . m . on 16-12-2008 at the office of the undersigned.

The date and time of opening of the tender will be intimated to the Pre- qualified contractors/ firms concerned in time . The tenders of those who have not become qualified will not be considered on any account . The Pre-qualification bids of the oontractors /firms without the required EMD of Rs . 50,000 duly pledged in the name of undersigned and the Preliminary Agreement in Stamp Paper worth Rs . 50 will be summarily rejected.
