In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 and 5 of the Notaries Act , 1952 ( Central Act 53 of 1952) , read with sub - rule (4) of rules 8 of the Notaries Rules , 1956, the Government of Kerala hereby re - appoint Sri Karunan Kuruvath, Advocate, Leela Bhavan, Chalappuram, Kozhikode, Pin-673002 as Notary for a further period of five years with effect from 8-3-2008 in the area comprising Kozhikode and Wayanad Revenue Districts and Tirur Taluk the Revenue District of Malappuram with Register No. 1/97 /KKD . in

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 10 ( a) of the Notaries Act, 1952 (Central Act 53 of 1952 ) the Government of Kerala hereby remove the name of Sri V.M. Balakrishnan Nambisan, Kannur District (presently residing at 'Kausthubham ' , MR- 8 , Mahatma Road , Pallikkunnu , Karnur -670 004) from the Register of Notaries with effect from 9-12-2008 on his request, since he has voluntarily retired from practice as Advocate with effect from 12-10-2008 .
