Sealed for tenders are invited the Modification Works of Vehicles so as to reach Police Headquarters , Thiruvananthapuram on or before 12 Noon on 6-1-2009 .

CONDITIONS
1. The tenders should be superscribed with Tender Number and name of the store articles and addressed to the Director General of Police , State Police Headquarters , Vellayambalam , Thiruvanantha- puram-695 010 , Kerala . Late tenders will not be accepted.
2. The tenders will be opened at the time mentioned above , in the presence of the tenderers of their authorized representatives (with proof of Identity ) who may be present at that time .
3. Application for tender forms should be accompanied by a cash remittance price fixed for a form which is not refundable . The Tender forms are not transferable . The sale oftender forms will be closed at 4 p.m. on 5-1-2008 . Cheques , Drafts , Postage Stamps , etc. will not be accepted towards the cost of forms nor will the forms be sent by VPP. However Money Orders ( including telegraphic money orders ) sent in the name of the Additional Assistant Inspector General of Police , Police Headquarters , Thiruvananthapuram-10 will accepted . The amount should include the postage! courier charges for sending tender documents . The Money Order alongwith the request should reach Police Headquarters atleast 7 days before the closing of the sales of the Tender documents enabling us to send the documents well in advance . be 4. Intending Tenderers may on application to the Director General of Police , obtain requisite tender forms on which the tenders should be submitted.

Intending Tenderers also may include charges for installation (of technical items) , training of officers and on-site support at least for 3 years as warranty, and thereafter A.M.C./A.T.S . for a period of 3 years on a turn key basis at a reasonable cost ( to be specified along with the quotation) in the Tenders . One year or 2 years warranty can be accepted in exceptional conditions .

Test in 7. Specifications and list of items of each tender shall be obtainable from PHQ with the tender forms during the working hours of Police Headquarters . The firms shoushould also furnish the detailed specifications , make , brochures , Report from Government Laboratories/Agencies, (Wherever possible) technical support network Kerala etc. of the equipments along with the Tenders . The Tenders without detailed specifica- tions of quoted items , Brochures , make etc. are to be rejected forthwith . The Tenders without separate envelope and not superscribing the tender number etc. will be rejected . liable
8. Preference will be given to the products quoted by the manufacturer or their authorised dealers having authorisation from the original manufacturer . Similarly perferences will be given to the Tenders having experience of supplying similar/ same items to Government Departments or Organisations, for which the Tenderer has to produce proof of purchase/ installation/satisfaction of the customer .
9. As the modification works are urgently required , the selected bidder will have to modify the vehicles without loss of time preferably within a month . In case for any pressing circumstance there will be delayed supply , the tenderer must cite adequate , justifiable grounds in writing and send them to DGP Kerala for consideration. DGP, in appropriate cases can allowow maximum 6 months of time from the scheduled date .

amount The sealed tenders , if any will be opened and auction will be fixed provisionally in the name of the highest bidder after auction sale . The successful bidder should deposit 50 % of the bid excluding EMD and obtain receipts . The balance amount including admissible sale tax should be paid on receipt of the order of confirmation of the auction and he should take the delivery of the vehicle from the auction place at his own expenses . If the successful bidder fails to satisfy the terms and conditions of the auction , the amount deposited by him at the time of the auction will be forfeited to the Goverment .
