SHORT TENDER NOTICE
No. P I-3284/2008. 29th November 2008.
Sealed tenders are invited for the supply of the following system/machines of the specification and details given hereunder.
6 High-Speed Three side Trimmer—1 Unit 1 No. (Maximum Trim size 300 x 420 mm, Feed height upto 110 mm, Hydraulic clamping, Electro-Magnetic clutch and breaks, essential safety attachments to be included).

2 Multi clamp Perfect Binding Machine—1 Unit 1 No. (Book feeding clamps 4 Nos., Minimum Capacity 2000 cycles per hour, Maximum Book size 320 mm x 320 mm, Minimum Book size 115 mm x 150 mm, spine thickness 2 mm to 50mm. Drive motor and Heater included).
The tenders should be superscribed Tender for Pre Press /Post Press equipments due on 29-1-2009 and addressed to the Managing Director, Kerala Books and Publications Society, Kakkanad P. O., Kochi-682 030.
The last date for receipt of the tender is 29-1-2009 at 3 p.m. Late tenders will not be accepted. The tender will be opened at 11 a.m. on 30-1-2009 in the presence of such of the tenderers or their authorised representatives who may be present at that time.
3 Automatic High Speed paper folding
Machine—1 Unit 1 No. (With automatic feeder unit, Folding capacity upto 25,000 copies/hour, A4 Buckle folder, Maximum sheet 700 mm x 1000 mm, Minimum sheet 207 mm x 380 mm, option for other folding, straight perforation/scoring etc.).
Intending tenderers may, on application to the Managing Director, Kerala Books and Publications Socitey, Kakkanad P. O., Kochi-682 030 obtain the requisite tender forms on which tenders are to be submitted. Application for tender form should be accompanied by a cash remittance of Rs. 2,080 including KVAT which is the price fixed for a form/set of forms and which is not refundable under any circumstances. The tender forms are not transferable. Sale of tender forms will be closed at 4 p. m. on 28-1-2009. Cheques, Postage Stamps etc. will not be accepted towards the cost of forms, nor will the forms be sent per V. P. P. Duplicate tender forms if required will be issued at Rs. 1,040 including KVAT per copy. Those who want the form by post/courier have to pay Rs. 30 extra towards postage charges.

5 Motorised Disc Perforator—1 Unit 1 No. (With adjustable disc-clamps and spare perforation wheels, sheet size upto 70 cms).
