The unit should be manufactured as per IS specifications Mark IS: 3829 (Part-I)

The cycle operation should be microprocessor controlled with three preset programs.
Alarm indication & Stop Button should be provided The autoclave should be designed for minimal quantity of water for optimal sterilization.
The float type valve should be effective, economical removal of air and condensate from the chamber to achieves sterilization temperature quicker.
Self locking safety door, hinge type, should not be opened when chamber is under pressure.
Heat resistant Silicon gasket for steam tight sealing.
Low water protection system to protect the electric heaters.
Boiler Controller.—Water level controller should protect the water immersion heaters from running without adequate water level inside steam generator and should also indicate the same by turning low water indication lamp on operator control panel.
The sterilizer will be fitted with all necessary safety features.
Plug screen in the chamber to prevent checking should be provided.
Steam trap to discharge chamber condenser and air should be provided.
A powerful ejector circulates air in the chamber for drying. This air is drawn in through the self-sterilizing vacuum drier, which admits only filtered air. The drier shall be packed with corrosion resistant metal wool.
2Material of Construction.—The necessary 'micro test certificate' for the plate SS 316L should be provided for the particular equipment which includes chemical, physical and hardness parameters.
Chamber.—Internal thickness: 6mm
MOC: Madeof stainless steel SS 316 Finish: Less than 0.5 Ra; Final Finishing should be mirror finishing inside.
Chamber.—Welding: Argon welding with rounded corners
Jacket.—Type: Channel Jacket, thickness: 8mm Final finishing should be clean welded area and to ensure that no blow hole were present

Printer.—A suitable dot matrix printer should be provided along with the sterilizer which should give the print out of the entire cycle operation.

Automation.—This model of sterilizer, with a mini PLC instead of the conventional operating valve, provides for semi-automatic operation with three pre-set program.
First program: 121°C for 30 minutes sterilization with slow exhaust.
Second program: 121°C for 30 minutes sterilization with fast exhaust.
Third program: 121°C for 20 minutes sterilization with Pre-vacuum pulses and fast exhaust.
The automation is so designed that once the program is selected then no further intervention is required from the operator till the end of the program.
The sterilizer will be provided with an Emergency Stop button.

Supplier should service the equipment through out the entire life of the instrument using their own service personnel. Suppliers who does not have their own service network in South India need not apply.

Sealed tenders are invited from authorized firms/direct company/branch (preferably ISO Certificate) for the supply of One Electronic Weighing Balance for Regional Soil Analytical Laboratory, Alappuzha as per the specifications.
The tenders should be superscribed as "Tender for One Electronic Weighing Balance" addressed to the Senior Chemist, Regional Soil Analytical Laboratory, Alappuzha-6 so as to reach for undersigned at 11 a.m. on or before16-2-2009. Late tenders will not be accepted. The tenders will be opened by the Senior Chemist at 3 p.m. on 17-2-2009 in the presence of such tenderers or their authorized representatives who may be present at that time.
3Intending tenderers may on application to the Senior Chemist, Regional Soil Analytical Laboratory, Alappuzha-6 obtain the requistite tender forms on which tenders should be submitted. Application for the tenders should be supplied from the Office of the Senior Chemist, Regional Soil Analytical Laboratory, Alappuzha-6 on office hours by a cash remittance of Rs. 400 + VAT, which is the price fixed for the form and which is not refundable under any circumstances. The duplicate tender forms will be issued @ Rs. 200 + VAT per copy. The tender forms are not transferable. The sale of tender forms will be closed at 5 p.m. on 14-2-2009. The tender should be accompanied with Earnestd Money Deposit of 1% of the total quoted value as Demand Draft payable at SBT, Thondankulangara, Alappuzha drawn in favour of the Senior Chemist, Regional Soil Analytical Laboratory, Alappuzha-6. The price quoted should include all the expenses towards delivery and installation/demonstration of the item in the Regional Soil Analytical Laboratory, Alappuzha. Sealed competitive tenders are invited for the supply of Laboratory Equipments to Botany-Biotechnology Department of Government Arts College, Thiruvananthapuram for the Academic year 2008-09 under Plan Fund 2008-09.
The tenders should be superscribed as "Tender No. 3/2008-09, the tender for the supply of Lab Equipments and Chemicals for the Department of Botany- Biotechnology 2008-09 (Plan Fund)" and should be addressed to the Principal, Government Arts College, Thiruvananthapuram. The tenders will be opened at 11.30 a. m. on 19-2-2009 in the presence of the tenderers or their authorised representatives who may be present at that time.
Intending tenderers may on application to the Director, Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Red Cross Road, Thiruvananthapuram-695 037 obtain the requisite tender forms on which the tenders should be submitted. Application for the tender form should be accompanied by a cash remittance of rupees noted against each tender which is the price fixed for a form and which is not refundable under any circumstances. Sealed tenders are invited for the supply of the Invasive Ventilator—2 Nos. required for the Kerala Heart Foundation, Medical College P. O., Thiruvananthapuram-11.
Tenders should be supercribed as "Tender No.1/2009/ KHF, dated 12-1-2009 for supply of Invasive Ventilator", which should be addressed to the Director, Kerala Heart Foundation, Medical College P. O., Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala State, Pin-695 011, so as to reach this office not later than 27-2-2009. Belated tenders will not be accepted. Each tenders should be accompanied by the Specification Chart, Booklet of the original manufacturers and warranty details. Perference will be given to the items having ISI certification. The supplier should clearly specify the life period/ guarantee period of the equipment. Last date and time of receipt of tender form on 27-2-2009 at 2 p.m. EMD Rs. 23,000.
The tenders will be opened at 3 p. m. on 27-2-2009, at the Office of the Director, Kerala Heart Foundation, or the Officer authorized for the purpose in the presence of such tenderers or their authorized11 representatives present at the time. For any unexpected reasons, if 27-2-2009 is declared a holiday, the sale, acceptance and opening of tenders will be done on next working day at the same time. Intending tenderers should quote a single rate inclusive of all taxes, transportation charges and installation charges, if any, for the supply of the item. The facility of purchases against Form- D stands withdrawn vide Government of India Notification on 29th March 2007 of the Central Sales Tax Act, 1956.
5. A specimen of the preliminary agreement deed is appended to the tender form. Tenders received without the Agreement Deed, Earnest Money Deposit and Samples will be rejected outright. Further details, if any, can be had from the office of the undersigned during office hours.
6. Sufficient samples should be sent along with the tender. The samples should strictly conform to the specifications.
7. Other things being equal, preference will be given to goods bearing ISI Certification mark and in the absence of Certification marks, products conforming to IS: specification. Where uncertified goods are supplied by the seller with a claim of conformity to the relevant Indian Standards, it is his responsibility to produce a Certificate of conformity from the Bureau of Indian Standards or any test house recognised by the BIS.
