SHORT TENDER NOTICE

No. H6 ( a) -51074/2008 .

3rd March 2009 .

Sealed tenders are invited from experienced vendors for the supply of the following stores so as to reach the Office of the Commissioner of Police , Marine Drive , Kochi City on or before 12 Noon on 20-3-2009 .

Tender No.-15/2009 .

Name of the Equipment-Patrolling Boats for Inland and Back water for Water borne Police Stations Approximate Quantity Required-25 Nos. ( subject to change without notice) .

Cost of tender forms Rs . 2,000 + 12.5 % VAT .

CONDITIONS

1. The tenders should be superscribed with tender number and name of the store articles and addressed to the Commissioner of Police , Kochi City, Marine Drive , Pin- 682 031. Late tenders will not be accepted.

2. The tenders will be opened at the Office of the Commissioner of Police , Kochi City, Marine Drive, Pin-682031 at 3 p.m. on 20-3-2009 , in the presence of the tenderers or their authorised representatives (withproof of Identity) who may be present at that time .

3. Application for tender forms should be accompanied by a cash remittance of price fixed for a form which is not refundable . The tender forms are not transferable. The sale of tender forms will be closed at 4 p . m. on 19-3-2009. Cheques , Drafts , Postage Stamps etc. will not be accepted towards the cost of forms nor will the forms be sent by VPP . of the Additional Assistant Inspector General of Police , Police Head However money orders (including telegraphic money orders ) sent in the name olice Headquarters , Thiruvananthapuram- 10 will be accepted. The amount should include the postage/ courier charges for Bending tender documents . The Money Order along with the request should reach Police Headquarters atleast 7 days before the closing of the sale of the tender documents enabling us to send the documents well in advance .

4. Intending tenderers may on application to the Director General of Police , obtain requisite tender forms on which the tenders should be submitted .

5. Earnest Money Deposit ( EMD) @ 1 % of the quoted value should be furnished along with the tender. EMD may be submitted either in cash or crossed Bank Drafts or Treasury Savings Bank Deposits or Govern- ment Promissory Notes or Bank Guarantee or National Savings Certificates drawn in favour ofAdditional Assistant Inspector General of Police , Police Headquarters ,Headquarters , Thiruvananthapuram- 10 . The firms which are exempted from furnishing Earnest Money Deposit should produce a copy of relevant authorised documents for verification , without EMD, the tenders will be cancelled .

6. Specifications and list of items of each tender shall be obtainable from the Police Headquarters with the tender forms during the working hours of Police Headquarters . The firms should also furnish the detailed Specifications , make brochures , Test Report from Government Laboratories /Agencies (wherever possible) , technical support , network in Kerala etc. of the equipments along with the tenders . The tenders without detailed specifications of quoted items , brochures , make etc. are liable to be rejected forthwith. The tenders without separate envelope and not superscribing the tender number etc. will berejected.

7. Preference will be given to the products quotedby the manufacturer or their authorised dealers having authorisation from the original manufacturer. Similarly preferences will be given to the tenders having experience of supplying similar/same items to Government Departments or Organisations for which the tenderer has to produce proof of purchase/installation/satisfactionof of the customer .

8. In the case of Foreign Equipments the rates are to be quoted in Indian Money also . Preference will be given to those who are ready to supply the item without opening Letter of Credit.

9. As the items are urgently required , the selected bidder will have to supply the item without loss of time preferably within 3 months . In case for any pressing circumstance there will be delayed supply, the tenderer must cite adequate , justifiable grounds in writing and send them to DGP Kerala for consideration .

10. The firms should be ready to show live demonstration of the Boats at their own cost and risk . In the event of the firms not able to show live demonstration will be rejected . However it is purly upto the Technical Committee even to visit the Boats as vendors choice , is so required .

11. Police Department is not liable to sent any individual communication. The rates quoted should be valid and firm till 30-8-2009 .

12. The Director General of Police is empowered to reject any tender without assigning any reason .
