Dated, Thiruvananthapuram , 21st August 2009 .
S. R. O. No. 832/2009.-WHEREAS , the place specified in the Schedule below is of vital importance to the country ;
AND WHEREAS , information with respect thereto , or the destruction or obstruction thereof, or interference therewith , would be useful to an enemy;
NOW, THEREFORE , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (d ) of clause (8) of section 2 of the Official Secrets Act , 1923 ( Central Act 19 of 1923) , read with Notification S. O. No. 1285 dated the 4th May , 1963 of the Ministry of Home Affairs , Government of India, the Government of Kerala hereby declare the place specified in the Schedule below to be a " Prohibited Place" for the purposes of the said Act and direct that a copy of this Notification, both in English and Malayalam languages, be affixed to the said place .

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification , but is intended to indicate its general purport . )
It is considered necessary that the place mentioned in the Schedule to the above Notification , namely , the 33 KV Sub Station of the Kerela State Electricity Board at Alathur in Palakkad District should be declared as a " Prohibited Place" under the Official Secrets Act, 1923 (Central Act 19 of 1923 ) , as the installation place is of vital importance to the Country .
The notification is intended to achieve the above object .

അതിനെ സംബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള വിവരമോ, അതിൻറ തടസ്സപ്പെടുത്തലോ അതിൻമേലുളള ഇടപെടലോ നശീകരണമോ , ശത്രുവിന് പ്രയോജനകരമായിരിക്കുമെന്നതിനാലും ;
ഇപ്പോൾ , അതിനാൽ , 1923 -ലെ ഔദ്യോഗിക രഹസ്യങ്ങൾ ആക്റ് ( 1923 -ലെ 19-ാം കേന്ദ്ര ആക്ററ് ) -ലെ 2-ാം വകുപ്പ് ( 8 )-ാം ഖണ്ഡം ( ഡി ) ഉപഖണ്ഡവും 600m സർക്കാരിൻറ ആഭ്യന്തരകാര്യ മന്ത്രാലയത്തിൻറ 1963 മേയ് 4-ാം തീയതിയിലെ എസ് . ഒ . 1285 -ാം നമ്പർ വിജ്‌ഞാപനവും കൂട്ടിവായിച്ചപ്രകാരം , നൽകപ്പെട്ട അധികാരങ്ങൾ വിനിയോഗിച്ച് , കേരള സർക്കാർ , താഴെ പട്ടികയിൽ വ്യക്തമായി എടുത്തു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ള സ്ഥലം പ്രസ്തുത ആക്‌ടിൻറെ ആവശ്യത്തിലേക്കായി ഒരു "നിരോധിത സ്ഥലം" ആയി ഇതിനാൽ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുകയും ഈ വിജ്ഞാപനത്തിൻറെ ഇംഗ്ലീഷിലും മലയാളത്തിലുമുള്ള ഓരോ പകർപ്പ് പ്രസ്തുത പതിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കണമെന്ന് നിർദ്‌ദേശം നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു .
