2. Report from the Deputy Directors of Education of Kasaragode, Kozhikode, Wa y a n a d , M a l a p p u r a m , K a n n u r a n d Palakkad.
As per the G. O. (P) 107/07/G. Edn. dated 13-6-2007, it has been interalia ordered to grant recognition to Unaided Schools in Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kasaragode, Kannur, Wayanad districts subject to certain conditions specified therein in order to overcome the educational backwardness of the Muslim community in the above Districts. This benefit was also extended to the Palakkad District vide G. O. (P) 23/08/G. Edn. dated 25-1-2008.

Based on the direction to the Deputy Directors of Education of the above said Districts, the respective Deputy Directors of Education submitted the details of areas where the Un-aided Schools are to be recognized. Detailed scrutiny were conducted on the list, as the extreme social and educational backwardness was taken as the parameter.
