Sealed and competitive tenders in the prescribed form are invited for the supply of Instruments/Equipments Egg Incubator or Microprocessor controlled Incubator (Memmert type) and Serological Water bath required for Research and Development project approved for Clinical Laboratory, District Veterinary Centre, Palakkad. Separate list of instruments/equipments with specifications attached.

Envelope containing the tender should be super- scribed "Tender for the supply of Instruments/Equipments Egg Incubator or Microprocessor controlled Incubator (Memmert type)/Serological Water bath Tender No. 1/2008-09." The envelope must have following enclosures.

Tenders should be superscribed "Supply of Equipments and Glass Wares" addressed to the Principal, Government Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram. The last date of the receipt of tenders will be at 3 p. m. on 10-12-2009. The late tenders will not be accepted. The tenders will be opened at 3.30 p. m. on 10-12-2009 in the presence of such of the tenderers or their authorized representatives who may be present at that time.

Intending tenderers may on application to the Principal, Government Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram to obtain tender forms on which tenders should be submitted. Application for the tender form should be accompanied by a cash remittance of Rs. 675 which is the price fixed for a form and which is not refundable under any circumstances. The tender forms are not transferable. Sale of tender forms will be closed at 1 p. m. on 10-12-2009. Cheques, Postal Order etc. will not be accepted towards the cost of forms. Those who wish to purchase tender forms by post shall send an additional amount Rs. 50 by Money Order to cover postal charges. Duplicate tender forms if required will be issued at Rs. 338 per copy.

Tenders in original should be accompanied with preliminary agreement in Kerala Stamp Paper worth Rs. 50 (Rupees Fifty only) otherwise the tender will not be considered. Stamp Paper will be forwarded to the firms outside Kerala if required on remittance of Rs.75 (Rupees Seventyfive only) saperately by Money Order (Rs. 25 is intended to cover, postage and incidental expenses). Competitive tenders in sealed covers superscribing the name of works are invited by the Superintending Engineer, Irrigation Circle, Kozhikode for and on behalf of Governor of Kerala from the manufacturers/suppliers of polymer gabion boxes for the supply of following materials for the following works.

The last date of receipt of tender is at 4.00 p. m. on 16-12-2009 and the tender will be opened at 4.30 p. m. on the same day in the presence of the tenderers, who are present at the time of opening.

SPECIFICATION AND QUANTITY

1. Supply of 4 strand tarred (or equivalent) polymer rope (poly propylene with adequate ultra violet stabilizer) gabion boxes of size 1 m. x 1 m. x 1 m. with mesh of opening size 150 mm. x 150 mm. including necessary braid string for top lid etc. complete—464 Nos. for Sl. No.1 and 600 Nos. for Sl. No. 2.

2. Supply of 4 strand tarred (or equivalent) polymer rope (poly propylene with adequate ultra violet stabilizer) gabion boxes of size 1 m. x 1 m. x 0.50 m. with mesh of opening size 150 mm. x 150 mm. including necessary braid string for top lid etc. complete—1044 Nos. for Sl. No.1 and 1776 Nos. for Sl. No. 2.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

(1) Braid string to be used for tying gabion lid shall be tested for 90 kg. breaking strength.

The Firm period of tender will be 4 (four) months from the fixed last date of receipt of tender.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

1. The suppliers should produce previous experience certificate of supplying Polymer rope Gabion boxes to Government or semi Government firms. The manufacturers should have a track record of minimum three years in the field of manufacturing polymer Gabion boxes. The manufacturers/ suppliers should have successfully completed the supply with in the specified time. In the case of suppliers they have to produce authorised certification from the Govt./Semi Govt. agencies so as to meet the above condition.

2. The Tender schedule will be issued from the Office of the Superintending Engineer, Irrigation North Circle, Kozhikode upto 1. p. m. on 10-12-2009 at the cost and VAT of tender schedule. The tender schedule will be issued to the contractors satisfying the special condition (1) The Superintending Engineer, Irrigation North Circle, Kozhikode reserves the right to issue tender schedule based on genuinetly. The decision of the Superintending Engineer is final in the matter of disputes.

3. The Tenderer shall also enclose prescibed EMD by way of demand draft in favour of Superintending Engineer, Irrigation North Circle, Kozhikode and payable at Kozhikode.

4. The supplier shall execute a preliminary agreement in stamp paper worth Rs. 50 in the format supplied and submit along with tender.

5. The selected supplier shall execute an agreement in stamp paper worth of Rs. 50 after submitting a security deposit for an amount of 5 % of the quoted amount of the supply.

6. The filled tender should be submitted through registered/speed post of Postal Department. The tender through courier service will not be accepted.

A. Rope

(1) The rope shall have a minimum tensile strength of 1500 kg. breaking strength.

(2) Linear density of rope should be above 35 gms/m

(3) Abrasion resistance should be 1400 kg. at the end of 1000 cycles.

(4) Thermal Stability shall be 1400kg strength retained after 3 hrs. exposure at 45 degree centigrade.

(5) UV resistance should be 1400 kg. (strength retain after 5.00 hours UV exposure)

7. The suppliers should produce test certificates of the Gabion boxes from the approved standard agency, probably IIT during the course of supply.

8. The selected supplier should produce the sample along with test certificate and the Department have the right to test the material if necessary with any other agency at Contractors cost for approval.

9. Every 1000 Nos. of rope Gabion shall deemed to be a lot. A representative gabion shall be selected from the lot by the Department for testing at the cost of the contractor and the result should be collected from the approved agency and submitted to department within seven days.

11. The contractor shall bear all kind of testing/certificate charges for testing of Gabion material.

12. The supplier shall produce certificate for the quality of material as specified by the department while supplying for every 1000 unit of supplying from the approved agency.

13. The supplier shall arrange technical demonstration for tying top lid, packing rubble etc. to the departmental officers at site.

14. The payment for the supply will be made as per prevailing Government Rules and no extra conditions in this regard is acceptable to the department. 15. The material shall be supplied at the above mentioned sites at Kozhikode District as directed by the department.

ദർഘാസുകൾ സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള സമയം 16-12-2009-ന് വൈകുന്നേരം 4 മണിവരെയും സന്നിഹിതരായ ദർഘാസു കാരുടെ സാന്നിദ്ധ്യത്തിൽ ദർഘാസുകൾ തുറക്കുന്ന സമയം അന്നേ ദിവസം ഉച്ചകഴിഞ്ഞ് 4.30 മണിയും ആയിരിക്കും.

16. The rate quoted shall be excluding all taxes of State Government. Tax at Government rate will be paid separately.

17. The supply shall be completed within 30 days from the date of purchase order. If the supply is not made within 30 days, a fine of 5 % of the cost of supply order will be imposed flatly for delay.
