NOTIFICATION

Dated , Thiruvananthapuram , 21st December 2009 .
S. R. O. No. 68/2010 . -WHEREAS , the place specified in the Schedule below is of vital importance to the country ;
AND WHEREAS , information with respoct thereto , or the destruction or obstruction thereof, or interference therewith , would be useful to an enemy;
NOW, THEREFORE , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- clause ( d) of clause ( 8) of section 2 of the Official Secrets Act , 1923 ( Centra ) Act 19 of 1923 ) , read with Notification S. O. No. 1285 , dated the 4th May , 1963 of the Ministry of Home Affairs , Government of India, the Government of Kerala hereby declare the place specified in the Schedule below to be "Prohibited Place " for the purposes of the said Act and direct that a copy of this Notification , both in English and Malayalam languages , be affixed to the said place .

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport . )
It is considered necessary that the place mentioned in the Schedule to the above Notification , namely , the 110/11 KV Sub Station of the Kerela State Electricity Board at Ottappalam in Palakkad District should be declared as a " Prohibited Place" under the Official Secrets Act, 1923 (Central Act 19 of 1923 ) , as the installation place is of vital importance to the Country .
The notification is intended to achieve the above object .

അതിനെ സംബന്‌ധിച്ചുള്ള വിവരമോ , അതിൻറെ നശീകരണമോ , തടസ്സപ്പെടുത്തലോ അതിൻമേലുള്ള ഇടപെടലോ പ്രയോജനകരമായിരിക്കുമെന്നതിനാലും ; ശത്രുവിന് ഇപ്പോൾ , അതിനാൽ , 1923 -ലെ ഔദ്യോഗിക രഹസ്യങ്ങൾ ആക് (1923 -ലെ 19-ാം കേന്ദ്ര ആക്റ് ) -ലെ 2-ാം വകുപ്പ് ( 8 )-ാം ഖണ്ഡം ( ഡി ) ഉപഖണ്ഡവും £20 സർക്കാരിൻറെ ആഭ്യന്തരകാര്യ മന്ത്രാലയത്തിൻറെ 1963 മേയ് 4 -ാം തീയതിയിലെ എസ് . ഒ . 1285 -ാം നമ്പർ വിജ്ഞാപനവും കൂട്ടിവായിച്ചപ്രകാരം , നൽകപ്പെട്ട അധികാരങ്ങൾ വിനിയോഗിച്ച് , കേരള സർക്കാർ , പ്രസ്തുത ആക്‌ടിൻറെ ആവശ്യത്തിലേക്കായി താഴെ പട്ടികയിൽ വ്യക്തമായി എടുത്തു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ള സ്ഥ‌ഥലം ഒരു "നിരോധിത സ്ഥലം" ആയി ഇതിനാൽ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുകയും ഈ വിജ്‌ഞാപനത്തിൻറെ ഇംഗ്ലീഷിലും മലയാളത്തിലുമുളള 60000 പകർപ്പ് പ്രസ്തുത പതിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കണമെന്ന് നിർദ്ദേശം നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു .
