Sealed and competitive tenders are invited from the Producers/Suppliers, under "Two cover system" for the purchase of approximately Five lakh numbers of cross bred pullets for the use of Animal Husbandry Department, Kerala under Food Security Project for the year 2009-10.
Tender No.—17/2009-10.
Price of tender form:
Original—Rs. 25,000 +VAT @ 12.5% = Rs. 28,125.
Duplicate—Rs. 12,500 +VAT @ 12.5% = Rs. 14,063.
Last date and time for sale of tender forms—
15-2-2010, 4 p. m.
Due date and time for receipt of tenders —16-2-2010, 11 a. m.
Date and time for opening of A Cover—16-2-2010, 2 p. m.

4. Undertaking that the birds will be supplied at the specified spots in the specified time in the Panchayats of the Districts as per directions of the District Animal Husbandry Officers.
5. Documents regarding date of hatch and vaccination to be produced.
6. If produces, the certificate of licence, source of eggs/parent stock & if suppliers, authorization letter of the producers along with the certificate of licence, source of eggs/parent stock of the producers.
7. Details of previous supplies to Government agencies shall be preferred.
8. Documents of performance record of farms owned by the producers/suppliers.
9. Attested copies of the ownership documents.
10. An affidavit in stamp paper worth Rs. 50 notarized by a Notary Public of either the place where the person making the affidavit is residing or of Thiruvananthapuram signed by the owner of the firm.
11. A covering letter with name, address, Pin code, Tel/Fax No., E-mail Address and other details of the firm in which the list of enclosures are specified and address to the Director, Department of Animal Husbandry, Thiruvananthapuram.
Second Cover (Cover B-Financial) will have the
following enclosures :
Designation and address of the Officer from whom the tender forms are to be obtained and to whom the tenders are to be submitted—The Director, Animal Husbandry Department, Vikas Bhavan, P. O. Box No. 5403, Thiruvananthapuram-695 033.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
The birds should be cross bred ready to lay pullets of 135 to 150 days with an approximate body weight of 1.2-1.5 kg. suited for backyard rearing, dewormed and protected against Ranikhet Disease.
1. Quoted rates (inclusive of all charges).
2. Original tender form duly signed by authorized signatory.
3. Preliminary agreement in Kerala Stamp Paper worth Rs. 50.
First Cover (Cover A-Technical) will have the
following enclosures :
1. Specification of the birds without rate.
2. Documents to prove the source of birds.
3. Undertaking that the birds supplied are dewormed and protected against Ranikhet Disease.

4. EMD (1% of the total cost of items quoted in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Director of Animal Husbandry, Kerala and payable at Thiruvananthapuram).
Both covers (A & B) must be effectively sealed and put in another cover, which shall also be sealed and submitted. Cover A and B will be opened as per the schedule attached. Cover 'B' of those tenderers who satisfy the conditions in Cover 'A' will only be opened.
2Details can be had along with the tender form, Government of Kerala Website www.kerala.gov.in and the Department website ahdkerala.gov.in. Intending tenderers may send the exact amount towards the cost of tender form and can have the tender form from the office during office hours on remitting the amount in cash. Cheques, Postage Stamps, Postal Orders, Demand Drafts etc. will not be accepted as the cost of tender form nor the form be sent by Value Payable Post. Tender form can be obtained from the Office of the Director of Animal Husbandry on payment of the cost in cash during office hours. Late tenders will not be considered under any circumstances. Tenders should be superscribed as "Tender No. 17/2009-10 for the supply of cross bred pullets for the year 2009-10".
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
1. The rates quoted should be inclusive of all taxes and other charges.
2. The rates quoted can be common for all districts or district-wise rates can be quoted.
3. The birds should be healthy, alert and without any infectious & contagious diseases. Only healthy birds will be accepted at the time of distribution.
4. If mortality occurs within 10 days of supply, the birds should be replaced.
5. Payment will be effected only on satisfactorily completion of supplies at all districts/districts for which supply order is placed.
6. The Security Deposit (5% of the total amount) furnished will be released only after satisfactory completion of the contract.
7. The rates should be for delivery f.o.r. destination.
8. The successful tenderers should complete all supplies within the stipulated time stated in the supply orders. No extension of supply period will be granted.
9. The Director of Animal Husbandry reserves all rights to cancel the tender without assigning any reason thereof.
10. The Director of Animal Husbandry or his authority has the right to inspect the production unit.
11. The only jurisdiction for any dispute regarding this purchase will be at Thiruvananthapuram.
12. The certificates of the producers showing date of hatch and vaccination should be produced at the time of distribution. If photocopy it should be attested by a Gazetted Officer.
13. If any of the dates scheduled is declared as holiday (local/general), tenders will be opened on the next working day at the same time.
14. The birds are to be supplied at the specified spots in the specified time in the Panchayats of the Districts as per directions of the District Animal Husbundry Officers. Details of spots for supplies will be served along with the tender forms.
15. The Director of Animal Husbandry reserves the right to delete, waive any of the above special conditions.

Sealed competitive tenders are invited for the supply of Chemicals and Glassware to Chemistry Department of this College for the academic year 2009-10 under the head of development of Lab and Library Plan Scheme 2009-10.
The tenders should be superscribed as "Tender No. 3/2009-10, the tender for the supply of Chemicals and Glassware to the Chemistry Department (Plan Fund 2009-10)" and should be addressed to the Principal, Government Arts College, Thiruvananthapuram. The last date of receipt of tenders by the Principal is on or before 11-2-2010, 2 p.m. The tenders received after the last date and time will not be accepted. Tenders will be opened at 3 p.m. on 11-2-2010 in the presence of tenderers or their authorized representatives who may be present at that time.
Intending tenderers can have tender forms on demand from the Principal, Government Arts College, Thiruvananthapuram between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on all working days on payment of Rs. 400+VAT 12.5% (Rs. 450) per copy which is the price fixed for a form and which is not refundable at any circumstance. The tender forms are not transferable. Duplicate tender forms if required will be issued at Rs. 200+VAT 12.5% (Rs. 225) per copy. Sale of tender forms will be closed at 2 p.m. on 11-2-2010. Cheques, Demand Draft and Postage Stamp will not be accepted towards the cost of forms.
5An agreement in Kerala Stamp Paper worth Rs. 50 is to be executed while submitting the tenders. The rate quoted should be inclusive of all taxes and other expenses and should be firm for a period of two months. A cash deposit equivalent to one percent of the cost of items tendered is to be deposited as earnest money. The item should be supplied to the Principal, Government Arts College, Thiruvananthapuram at the expenses of the tenderer. Face value of the tender is Rs. 1,50,000 (Rupees One Lakh and Fifty Thousand only).
Purchase of all Electronic Equipments will be subjected to the technical evaluation by LBS/Competent authority. Expense for the same shall be met by the quotationer.

2. കരാറിൽ ഏർപ്പെടുന്ന തീയതി മുതൽ ആവശ്യാനുസരണം സπൈ ചെയ്യേ≠തും 30-4-2010-നകം സπൈ പൂർത്തി യാക്കേ≠തുമാണ്.

The tenders will be opened at 11.30 a. m. in the presence of tenderers or their authorized representatives who may be present at that time.
