as Competitive invited tenders in sealed covers superscribing the name of works are invited for and on behalf of the Governor of Kerala by the undersigned from the Registered Contractors Class ' A' and ' B' Category for the following works so to reach this Office on or before the date specified . Tenders will be opened at 4.30 p n . on the date of specified by the undersigned or other authorized Officers . Tender should be submitted so as to reach the undersigned on or before date and time prescribed or cach work as mentioned below by Registered Post / Speed Post / Courier . Electrical Works should be got carried out only through the PWD licensed Electrical Contractor . The Electrical work will be supervised measured check measured and bill passed by the Electrical Wing of the PWD .

Ifthe last date of receipt of the tender is to be declared as holiday , tenders will be received on the next working day according to the schedule fixed . Preliminary Agreement should be enclosed duly filled and signed by the tenderers in Stamp Paper worth Rs . 50. Tenders not complying with the above conditions will not be accepted. All the rules in PWD regarding the tenders are applicable to this tender also . Department is not responsible for any postal delay in receiving tenders .

as Bidding documents ( Financial bid only) may be purchased from the Office of the Superintending Engineer , National Highway, North Circle, Kozhikode during office hours from 2-2-2010 to 1 p . m. on 5-2-2010, for a non- refundable fee indicated, inin the form of Cash or Demand Draft on any Scheduled Bank payable at the State Bank of India , Main Branch , Kozhikode in favour of the Personal Assistant to the Superintending Engineer, National Highway North Circle , Kozhikode . Interested bidders may obtain further information at the same address , Bidding documents requestedby Mail will be despatched by Registered/ Speed Post on payment of an extra armount of Rs . 200. The tendering authority will not be held responsible for the delay if any, in the delivery of the documents ог non -receipt of the same. The standard bidding document Part I & II in which technical bid is to be submitted shall be obtained from the Secretary, Indian Roads Congress , Jamnagar House, Shajahan Road, New Delhi- 110011 on payment and submitted along with the completed bids auly filled up .
Bids must be accompanied by security of the amount specified for the work in the table payable at Kozhikode and drawn in favour of the Superintending Engineer, National Highway North Circle , Kozhikode . Bid security will have to be in any one of the forms as specified in the Standard Bidding Document and shall have to be valid for 45 days beyond the validiity of the bid,
on Bids must be delivered to the Superintending Engineer , PWD National Highway North Circle , PWD Complex, IV Floor, Kannur Road, Kozhikode- 673 001 on or 4 p.m. 16-2-2010 and the technical bid will be opened on the same day at 4.30 p . m . in the presence of the bidders who wish to attend. If the office happens to be closed on the date of receipt of the bids as specified, the bids will be received and opened on the next working dav at the same time and venue .
A pre-bid meeting willbe held on 10-2-2010 at 11 a.m. at the Office of the Superintending Engineer , P. W. D. National Highway, North Circle , Kozhikode to clarify the issues and to answer questions on any matter that may be raised at that stage as stated in Clause 9.2 of ' Instructions to Bidders of the bidding document .
