Tenders for pre- qualification and execution of the following works are invited from financially sound and well experienced registered 'A' Class Contractors / Firms of Kerala Public Works / Irrigation Department who have successfully completed atleast one similar works costing more than 40 % ( Forty percentage) of the estimate P. A. C. of works during the last five years . The application for tender schedule shouldbe supportedby Certificate of prior experience in works as mentioned below obtained from the agreement authority and tender schedule will be issued only to those who satisfy this condition . Electrical works should be got carried out only through PWD licensed Electrical Contractor . The Electrical work will be supervised, measured , check measured and bill passed by the Electrical Wing of the PWD . Tenders should be submitted so as to reach the undersigned on or before the date and time prescribed for the work as mentioned below by Registered Post /Speed Post/ Courier .

The tender is invited for carrying out Civil and Electrical Works together . The electrical part of the work is to be executed through an Electrical Contractor, who is qualified and competent to execute clectrical works . A Statement of the same may be submitted along with the tender documents. The quoted value of the works will be computed as the sum of the quoted amounts for Civil and Electrical works and the lowest offer will also be decided based on the gross quoted amount .
'A' Class Contractors /Firms Registered within State PWD having experience in the Construction Works of similar nature and also consider themselves capable of taking up the construction of major building can obtain Pre- Qualification bids and tender schedules from the office of the undersigned on dates noted , on payment of cost specified and production of the Original Registration Card with request for documents along with the following relevant records duly attested by an Officer not below the rank of Executive Engineer to prove their eligibility . on List of Minimum T& P under their Possession:

A Certificate to the effect that they have satisfactorily completed a Government work of similar nature ( Buildings) costing 40 % of the Estimate PAC during last five financial years . The tender documents will be issued only on production of this Certificate . The details of essential documents required will be supplied with the tender documents. Necessary documentary evidence should be submitted with the tender . Otherwise it will be rejected . Those who are proposed to complete the work timely under the existing circumstances (including financial ) only need to submit the tenders .
All the tenderer should attend the Pre-bid meeting convened prior to the last day of receipt of the tender ,
Abig sealed cover containing ( 1 ) the filled up and signed Pre-qualification bids (4 copies ) along with all the required pro forma , questionnaires and certificate in one cover . (2) Earnest Money Deposit and Preliminary Agreement in one cover and (3) tender documents in which the rate is quoted in another sealed cover and also super- scribing the name of the work sent only by Registered Post should reach the office of the undersigned before 4 p.m. on the last date fixed for receipt of Pre - qualification bids and tenders . The department will not responsible for any delay or loss in delivery by post .
The Pre- qualification bids only will be opened (on the same day the last date fixed for receipt of Pre-qualification bids/ tender documents ) at the time notified and will be submitted to the Chief Engineer's Committee for scrutiny and finalisation ofPre- qualification . The cover containing tender schedule of Pre -qualified tenders only will be opened after the finalisation of Pre -qualificationbids by the Chief Engineer's Committee.
The date and time of opening of the tender will be intimated to the Pre -qualified Contractors/ Firms concerned in time .
