G. O. (Ms.) No. 208/2010/Home. Dated, Thiruvananthapuram, 16th September 2010.
S. R. O. No. 992/2010.—WHEREAS, the place specified in the Schedule below is of vital importance to the country ;
AND WHEREAS, information with respect thereto, or the destruction or obstruction thereof, or interference therewith, would be useful to an enemy ;
Now, THEREFORE, In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (d) of clause (8) of section 2 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923 (Central Act 19 of 1923), read with Notification S. O. No. 1285 dated the 4th May, 1963 of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, the Government of Kerala hereby declare the place specified in the Schedule below to be a "Prohibited place" for the purposes of the said Act and direct that a copy of this Notification, both in English and Malayalam languages, be affixed to the said place.

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.)
It is considered necessary that the place mentioned in the Schedule to the above Notification, namely, the 33 KV Substation of the Kerala State Electricity Board at Othukkungal in Malappuram District should be declared as a "Prohibited place" under the Official Secrets Act, 1923 (Central Act 19 of 1923) as the installation place is of vital importance to the country.
The notification is intended to achieve the above object.

അതിനെ സംബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള വിവരമോ, അതിന്റെ നശീകരണമോ, തടസ്സപ്പെടു ത്തലോ അതി∑േലുള്ള ഇടപെടലോ ഒരു ശത്രുവിന് പ്രയോജനകരമായിരിക്കുമെന്ന തിനാലും ;
ഇപ്പോൾ, അതിനാൽ, 1923-ലെ ഒൗദ്യോഗിക രഹസ്യങ്ങൾ ആക്റ്റ് (1923-ലെ 19-ാം കേന്ദ്ര ആക്റ്റ്)-ലെ 2-ാം വകുപ്പ് (8)-ാം ഖണ്ഡം (ഡി) ഉപഖണ്ഡം ഭാരത സർക്കാരിന്റെ ആഭ്യന്തരകാര്യ മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന്റെ 1963 മേയ് 4-ാം തീയതിയിലെ എസ്. ഒ. 1285-ാം നമ്പർ വി⁄ാപനത്തോട് ചേർത്ത് വായിച്ച പ്രകാരം, നൽകപ്പെട്ട അധികാരങ്ങൾ വിനിയോഗിച്ച്, കേരള സർക്കാർ, താഴെ പട്ടികയിൽ പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലം പ്രസ്തുത ആക്റ്റിന്റെ ആവശ്യത്തിലേക്കായി ഒരു "നിരോധിത സ്ഥലം" ആയി ഇതിനാൽ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുകയും, ഈ വി⁄ാപനത്തിന്റെ ഇം•ീഷിലും മലയാളത്തിലുമുള്ള ഓരോ പകർപ്പ് പ്രസ്തുത സ്ഥലത്ത് പതിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കണമെന്ന് നിർദ്ദേശം നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
