PRE-QUALIFICATION TENDER NOTICE No. DB-4/1073/2008. 5th January 2011.
Tender for pre-qualification and execution of the following work is invited by the undersigned from financially sound and well experienced registered 'A' Class Contractors/Firms of Kerala Public Works/ Irrigation Department who have successfully completed atleast one similar work costing more than 40% of estimate PAC of work during the last five years. The tender schedule should be supported by certificate of prior experience in the work as mentioned above obtained from agreement authority. Necessary certificate in this effect shall be produced from the officers concerned not below the rank of Executive Engineer. Tenders should be submitted so as to reach the undersigned on or before date and time prescribed for the work as below by Post/approved Courier. The cost of tender schedule shall be on DD in favour of Superintending Engineer should be enclosed along the tender documents.

The details of essential documents required will be supplied with the tender documents. Necessary documentary evidence should be submitted with the tender, failing which the tender will be rejected. Those only bidders who are capable of completing the work time bound need to submit the tenders.
A big sealed cover containing (1) the filled up and signed Pre-qualification bids (4 copies) along with all the required proforma, questionnaires and certificate in one cover. (2) Earnest Money Deposit and Preliminary agreement in one cover and (3) tender documents in which the rate is quoted in another sealed cover superscribing the name of the work is to be sent only by Registered Post/Speed Post to reach the Office of the undersigned before 4 p. m. on the last date fixed for receipt of pre-qualification bids and bidders. The Department will not responsible for any delay or loss in delivery by Post.
The Bids of prequalified Bidders only will be opened (on the same day of the last date fixed for receipt of pre-qualification bids/tender documents) at the time notified and will be submitted to the Chief Engineer's Committee for scrutiny and finalisation of pre-qualification. The cover containing tender schedule of pre-qualified tenders only will be opened after the finalisation of pre-qualification bids by the Chief Engineer's Committee.
The date and time of opening of the tender will be intimated to the pre-qualified contractors/firms concerned in time. The tenders of those who are not pre-qualified will not be considered on any account. The pre- qualification bids of the contractors/ firms without the required EMD of ` 50,000 duly pledged in the name of undersigned and the preliminary agreement in Stamp Paper worth ` 50 will be summarily rejected.
