TENDER NOTICE
[No. 26/2010-11]
No. C3-24988/2010. 5th February 2011.
Sealed and competitive tenders are invited from the manufacturers/suppliers for the purchase of about 12 lakh numbers of Plastic Covers for Cow Cards for the use of Animal Husbandry Department, Kerala for the year 2010-11.
1. Specification of the item with rate which should be inclusive of all taxes. (Rate of Cover with printing.) 2. Original tender form duly signed by authoried signatory.
3. Preliminary agreement in Kerala Stamp paper worth ` 50.
4. E.M.D. (1% of total cost of items quoted in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Director of Animal Husbandry, Kerala and Payable at Thiruvananthapuram).
5. An affidavit in stamp paper worth ` 50 notarized by a Notary public of either the place where the person making the affidavit is residing or of Thiruvananthapuram signed by the owner of the firm.
6. Copy of WHO, ISO Certification, if any.
The above documents must be put in a cover and effectively sealed and submitted. Cover will be opened as per the schedule given below. The details of can be had from the tender form or Government of Kerala Website-www.kerala.gov.in and the department website www.ahdkerala.gov.in. Intending tenderers may collect the tenders from the office of the Director of Animal Husbandry between 10.30 a.m. & 4 p.m. on paying the exact amount of the tender or may send exact amount towards the cost of tender form with the postal charges for sending the tender as money order only. Cheques, Postage Stamps, Postal Orders, Demand Drafts etc. will not be accepted as the cost of tender forms nor the form can be obtained by Value Payable Post. Late tenders will not be considered under any circumstances. CONDITIONS
1. The rates quoted should inclusive of all Taxes.
2. Specification for the item should be collected from the section, at the time of purchase of the tender form.
3. Sample of the quoted items should be produced at the time of submitting tenders.
4. The security deposit furnished will be released only after satisfactory completion of the contract.
5. The rates should be for delivery F.O.R at the destinations specified in the supply order.
6. Ex-go down rates and F.O.R. station of Despatch rates offered by the firms are not acceptable and such tenders will be summarily rejected.
7. The quantities specified in the schedule are only approximate and they may vary according to actual need.
8. The successful tenderers should complete all supplies within the stipulated time stated in the supply orders. No extension of supply period will be granted.
9. The non-availability of raw materials, price hike of raw materials, transportation problems etc. will not be accepted as reasons for non-supply or late supply.
10. The rates should be quoted in Indian Currency and payment will be made in Indian Currency only.
11. The Director of Animal Husbandry reserves all rights to cancel the tender without assigning any reason thereof.
12. The only jurisdiction for any dispute regarding this Earnest Money Deposit—1% of the amount quoted.

14. The Director of Animal Husbandry on his authority has the right to inspect the manufacturing unit.
15. If any of the dates scheduled for receipt and opening of tenders is declared as holiday, (general/ local) the receipt and opening of tenders will be shifted to the consecutive working day.
16. Name and place to which the items are to be supplied will be specified in the supply order. However the tenderer should be ready to supply at any part of the state.
17. The Director of Animal Husbandry reserves the right to delete or waive any of the above special Conditions.

The tender forms can be had in all working days from the office of the undersigned. Those who require by post should send the cost of tender forms and an additional amount of ` 30 (Rupees Thirty only) towards the postage charge. Cost of tender form is non refundable. Cheques, Postal Orders, Demand Draft are not acceptable. Late tenders will not be accepted. Tender forms should not be handed over to others. Filled up forms along with Earnest Money Deposit and agreement in stamp paper worth ` 100 may be forwarded to the Chief Veterinary Officer, District Veterinary Centre, Palakkad directly or by post. But this office is not responsible for any postal delay. The Earnest Money Deposit should be taken in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Chief Veterinary Officer, District Veterinary Centre, Palakkad payable at State Bank of India, A.D.B. Branch, Palakkad. If the opening date of tender may be declared as a holiday it will be opened on next working day. The undersigned reserves all rights to accept or reject tenders.
