Sealed competitive tenders are invited for the purchase of Chemicals (32 items) for the use of the Institute of Animal Health and Veterinary Biologicals, Palode, Thiruvananthapuram.
The tender should be superscribed as "Tender No. XIV/2011-12 Supply of Chemicals" and should be addressed to the Director, Institute of Animal Health and Veterinary Biologicals, Palode, Pacha P. O., Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Pin-695 562. Last date for the receipt of tender is 28-11-2011 at 11 a. m. Late tenders will not be accepted. The tenders will be opened at 12 Noon on 28-11-2011 in the presence of the tenderers or their authorized representatives who may be present at that time of opening of tender.
Intending tenderers may apply to the Director, Institute of Animal Health and Veterinary Biologicals, Palode, Pacha P. O., Thiruvananthapuram, Pin-695 562, for obtaining the prescribed tender form on which the tender should be submitted. Application for the tender form should be accompanied by a cash remittance of ` 900 + VAT 4% which is the price fixed for a set of tender form and which is not refundable. The tender forms are not transferable. Sale of tender forms will be closed at 3 p. m. on 26-11-2011. Those who have wish to get tender form by Post may sent ` 1,000 by Money Order which includes Cost, Taxes, Postal Charges etc. Cheques, Postal Stamps, Demand Drafts etc. will not be accepted towards the cost of tender forms. The form will not sent by V.P.P. Duplicate forms if required will be issued at ` 500 and VAT 4% extra per copy.

2. Attested copy of the Sales Tax Clearance Certificate.
3. Attested copy of the test report to prove the quality of material used.
4. Market standing certificate of the firm for the quoted item for a minimum period of 3 years (last 3 years) from the competent authority.
Second Cover (Cover B—Financial) will have the

Sealed and competitive tenders are invited from the manufactures under " Two cover system" for the Supply of 16 lakh numbers of Full Arm Disposable Gloves and 10000 Numbers of Full Length Disposable Aprons for the use of Various Veterinary Institutions of the Department for the year 2011-12.
DETAILS OF ARTICLE
1. Rate should be quoted as basic price, rate of tax and total amount.
2. Original tender form duly signed by authorised signatory.
3. Preliminary agreement in Kerala Stamp Paper worth ` 50.
4. EMD (1% of the total cost of item quoted).
The item to be supplied at 3 Central Veterinary Stores at Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur and Kozhikode.
Both covers (A & B) must be effectively sealed and put in another cover, which is also sealed and submitted.
Cover A & B will be opened as per the schedule given below. Cover B of those tenderers who satisfy the above conditions in Cover A and the quality of the samples produced will only be opened. The cover B of rejected tenderers will be returned without opening on completing the purchase procedures only. SPECIAL CONDITIONS
1. The tenderers should be original manufacturers of the item.
2. The rates quoted should be as basic price, rate of tax and total amount.
3. All offers should be from ready stock in the original packing of the manufacturer.
4. Preference will be given to tenderers with ISO Certificates.
5. Minimum 25 numbers of quoted item should be produced along with the tender. The Director of Animal Husbandry has the right to finalise the tender on the basis of the quality of the sample produced.
6. The Security Deposit furnished will be released only after the satisfactory completion of the contract.
7. The rates should be for delivery F. O. R. at the 3 Central Veterinary Stores.
8. Ex-godown rates and F.O.R. Station of Despatch rates offered by the firms are not acceptable and such tenders will be summarily rejected.
9. On the label of each packing it should be inscribed "For the use of Animal Husbandry Department, Kerala".
10. The quantities specified in the schedule are only approximate and they may vary according to actual need and budget provision.
11. The successful tenderers should complete all supplies with in the stipulated time stated in the supply orders. No extension of supply period will be granted.
12. The non-availability of raw materials, price hike of raw materials, transportation problems etc. will not be accepted as reasons for non-supply or late supply.
13. Successful tenderers should supply the items at the approved rates and conditions to the local self Governments and other Departmental Institutions as per their request.
14. The rates should be quoted in Indian Currency and payment will be made in Indian Currency only.
15. The Director of Animal Husbandry reserves all rights to cancel the tender without assigning any reason thereof.
16. The Director of Animal Husbandry on his authority has the right to inspect the manufacturing unit.
17. The only jurisdiction for any dispute regarding this purchase will be at Thiruvananthapuram.
18. The photocopies of the documents produced along with the tender should be attested by a Gazetted Officer.
19. If any of the dates scheduled for receipt and opening of tenders declared holding (local/general) the receipt and opening will be on the next working day.

21. The Director of Animal Husbandry reserves the right to delete or waive any of the above special conditions.
