NOTICE
CALLING UPON THE CLAIMS OF RIGHTFUL OWNER OF AN ABANDONED IMMOVABLE PROPERTY
No. L1-37169/2012. 20th July 2012.
Therefore, having satisfied that there is a prima facie case of the abandonment of the said property by the rightful owner, the undersigned as provided under Section 11 C of the Kerala Escheats and Forfeitures Act, 1964 (Act 4 of 1964) do hereby call upon all persons who may have any claim to this property to appear before me and prefer claim within six months from the date of publication of this notice. If no claim is preferred, after due investigation the land shall be decided to be belonging to the Government and disposed in accordance with the provisions of the Kerala Government Land Assignment Act, 1960.

Whereas information has been received by me in writing from the Special Tahsildar (LT), Thripunithura that while he was trying the kudikidappu claims of certain persons who are residing in the landed property in Block 5 Re-Survey No. 198/3 of Thrikkakara North Village of Kanayannur Taluk, reached in conclusion that the rightful owner of the said property Sri Sreekandath Velayudha Menon Jayasankara Menon, Ernakulam has abandoned it so many years back and no one has turned up to claim ownership over the land inspite of News Paper publication and local publication made by the Special Tahsildar (Land Tribunal), Thripunithura.
Collectorate, Ernakulam. District Collector. And, whereas the enquiry conducted through the Tahsildar, Kanayannur revealed the fact that the said property consisted of 53.25 Ares was abandoned by the Thandpper holder Sri Sreekandath Velayudha Menon Jayasankara Menon, Ernakulam about 45 years and since then the property has been in the possession and enjoyment of the persons occupying it.
