NOTIFICATION
No. 1932/A/06/KELSA. 29th July 2013.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub Section (1) of Section 8A of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 (Central Act 39 of 1987) read with Sub Rule (1) of Rule 8 of the Kerala State Legal Services Authorities Rules 1998 the Kerala State Legal Services Authority hereby reconstitutes the High Court Legal Services Committee for the High Court of Kerala w.e.f. the F. N. of 29th July, 2013 consisting of the following namely:—
1. Hon'ble Mr. Justice K. T. Sankaran — Chairman 2. The Advocate General — Member 6. President, Bar Association (Ernakulam
District) — do.
7. Sri N. Sreelal Warrier, Advocate — Advocate
Member 8. Smt. P. A. Razia, Advocate — do.
9. Smt. Thushara James, Advocate — do.
10. Sri S. Sudheesh Kumar, Lecturer,
NUALS, Ernakulam — Member 11. Sri V. Anil, Maroorkavu, — Member Pathiyoor P. O., Manampally, representing Alappuzha-690 552 SC/ST
Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the Notification, but is
intended to indicate its general purport).
Section 8A of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 (Central Act 39 of 1987) empowers the State Legal Services Authority to constitute the High Court Legal Services Committee consisting of the Ex-officio members and the other members nominated by the Chief Justice of the High Court. The term of the High Court Legal Services Committee reconstituted as per the notification No. 1932/A/06/KELSA dated 8th February, 2010 expired. Hon'ble the Chief Justice has nominated Hon'ble Mr. Justice K. T. Sankaran as the Chairman of High Court Legal Services Committee and other members. Hence, the Kerala State Legal Services Authority decided to reconstitute the Kerala High Court Legal Services Committee for the Kerala High Court including the nominated members as provided in Section 8A of the Act read with Rule 8(1) of the Kerala State Legal Services Rules 1998.
This notification is intended to achieve the
above object.
